My tip. Tanks! Not for combat, for remote base building/fixing. Place multiple tanks on every surface, with roboport and logistic requests. Stuff breaks and you can't always fix things personally.

You are right I believe taking things slowly and having fun with what you make is the best thing you can do while playing factorio

I quite like using a sushi design for the new sciences. Since we can read all belt contents with circuits now, sushi belts are much easier to use.

What a refreshingly well structured, clear and informative intro guide - I've watched a few other YTers output over the last few weeks, and all of them have been either incoherent or have dived into the nitty gritty detail, which is useless for someone new to SpaceAge. I also appreciated the spoiler-free approach - part of the fun of the game, after all, is discovering new stuff and working out the basics yourself. As for new topics, I'll need a few more weeks to get off planet (I am just setting up my first platform) and try stuff out before I have an idea on what would be worth covering next. Thanks again.

My Falgora base is fully on robots. Even all fluids (except ones that can't be put into barrels). Robots take care of sorting. And you can easily craft more robots or roboports here.

I heard another KZbinr suggest that gleeba be the host for science research after completing that planet because the research on gleeba will expire

This is actually pretty smart, as Iron and Copper are pretty much endless on Gleba with the Bacteria multiplication recipe. Thanks for sharing that one

There are other (spoilery) reasons to put your labs on Nauvis tho!
@D4RT-one17 күн бұрын
@@thomaskolar90well, those are veeeery lategame, compared to gleba. So theoretically you can just move back to Nauvis later, when you unlock that tech

Thank you, I will keep my lab on nauvis if I'll end up rebuilding, I like the new Machine with 50% production, quite annoyed at rebuilding but enjoy the result, especially the quality module

You can put labs on ALL the planets.

Should the Nauvis base be a spaghetti base before you launch to other planets or should it be a bus base, a city block train base or a mixture of the two?
@АлександрИзмайлов-т8ь17 күн бұрын
citiblocks are not an option in the beginning if you playing with cliffs. You will hate your spaghetti. It is tedious to build a big bus without bots and a good supply of belts. You might follow some speedrunning guides but with default resources you might need to search and expand when it says build 3 more smelter lines. What a hard game!
@Ic0nGaming17 күн бұрын
I'd not bother with anything too big until you have at least cliff explosives unlocked. I went for a bus design (small one) and haven't decided yet where I'll end up on Nauvis. Currently working my way through Gleba.

Put in Blue Circuits, Low Density Structures and Rocket Fuel into your Rocket Silo where it builds a rocket which you can then send to the space platform. I didn't mention it, since the process is basically the same compared to vanilla factorio. Since I wanted Space Age Tips I didn't consider it as an info piece for this video. Hope this helped you nevertheless o/

@@Ic0nGaming No. you misunderstood me, automatically transport packages from planet to planet I figured out how to do it, but I wasn’t happy with the fact that the platforms took a long time to fly
@Ic0nGaming12 күн бұрын
@@NotoreGames Ah you mean interplanetary logistics, now I got you. Sorry I misread that. Yeah, currently working on something that's easy to run and explain myself. Automation of shit between planets is on my to-do as I still need to work on my space fleet. As I'm writing I'm the proud owner of a space bucket which needs 20 minutes recharge time between flights. I'll come back with insights once I gathered them.
