This video is so valuable for anyone with disabilities, not that it affects me, but I have never seen information like this, so helpful I’m sure and it would put people’s minds at rest. So yes you can still have a holiday, just maybe a little pre-planning. Great work, thanks Alex. Have a nice break with your mum hope the weathers not too bad.

Excellent video. I have MS and use a walker but when I visit Spain in the summer, I may prefer to rent wheelchairs/electric scooter. Please do more on accessible tourism/travel. We all get the need for sustainable tourism but the disabled are too often ignored. Too often. So sad. It could be you, your elderly parents, friends. 20 Years ago I ran some 10 ks. I had no idea that I would get MS. Few do.

Fantastic video with great information for people with walking difficulties, I have stayed in the son matius and Fergus style palma nova, had, I personally preferred the Fergus but I can walk a wee bit. Staff were always very helpful and charged the scooter every night for me. Scooter companies deliver straight to the hotels.

I jumped when I turned this one on & then I read October, crikey I had forgotten how busy Palma Nova is at that time. My Mum used assistance at the airport, it helped not just with the miles of walking, but they helped her with what paperwork she needed, so much less stressful. Thanks Alex, this is such a useful video.

Really useful, thanks. I'm travelling to Majorca and staying in an Airbnb in July with my 87-year-old father who has problems with his knees but can walk short distances with a rollator. We've booked airport assistance, will hopefully all run smoothly. He might even get to dip his toes in the sea 🙂 Good to know a lot of places cater for those less mobile.

This is really good advice Alex! Its going to be so helpful to so many people. That's so wrong to have a curfew for those with reduced mobility. Do they have beach wheelchairs and beach walkers over there anywhere I wonder? I have heard of several places in the South West which have beach wheelchairs and walkers with huge wheels.

Hi my husband is disabled and he can't even lie on loungers, so he's in his chair round pool. It would be lovely if there were beach chairs to support people even one or two.

Sadly I had a very unpleasant experience in Palma airport. I’m not in a wheelchair normally (need new knees!) but can’t walk distances. Used assist from my UK airport which was brilliant, unfortunately not the same at Palma. The people pushing the wheelchairs through the airport seemed to think it was a huge joke, totally taking the ‘Michael’ Felt very uncomfortable and it was just so embarrassing. I’m no shrinking Violet but tbh, has put me off coming back to Mallorca until I’ve got new knees 😞

Thankyou for info for location of special assistant desk😊 I have no physical issues but I have dyspraxia and Alex autistic traits . I've booked special assistance with easy jet. Anyone had experience of help through Palma airport .. being allowed to go to another check in queue if very anxious if queue too long or get help through security (that helps massively!) I like to get on the plane first or last and airlines/airports can really differ with this! Just being prepared that there could be long queues there at mo helps at least 😂

That is a really good question. I would say the boats are accessible from the jetty here. But double check when you are over with the teams selling tickets.
