I LOVE these new thumbnails, ofc using text on them is sick and I love typography (a lot) but the new thumbnails you’ve been making are much more simplified, and let the title stand out. Also we need a tutorial on that red light effect at 1:00 (or just lighting to tell a story/mood in general)- reminds me of The Blair Witch Project 😉 Can’t wait to see the next episode in this seriesss!

Got a bit bored of making the same thumbnails over and over again and wanted to switch it up, glad you dig it! Ironically these without text take much longer to put together haha. And the red light is my Lume Cube Panel with a "campfire" preset ;)

Awesome video as always, I ran into a problem with my sound design on a project. I have a mic on my camera and another scene has voice over with a higher quality mic. Would you be able to show any tips in the next sound design episode on matching (or trying to match) sound quality? The mic quality isn't horrible but you can definitely tell it's 2 separate mics in 2 different settings.

Great as always. Suggestion: 1: Show your great intro. 2 . Run the intro again, showing the sound tracks while you explain with a voice-over. You know, like you do with your the color grading tutorials - before and after - right there, comparing. (I hope I make sense) . Also, for the Epidemic Sound series. How about a "thought process selection of a couple of effects" ?. You know, like your voice in "off" (you thinking) while recording your screen as you browse Epidemic Sound web site. Browsing, Clicking .. selecting, ..... while we keep hearing your "thoughts" . Than the same "we can hear your thinking" while you decide, select, apply the filters.... Or not.

Hi Aidin, firstly super helpful! Second, just had a quick question about music tracks. In general, I find when I add sounds (from epidemic) in certain cases they will sound different or muffled when used with a music track is this because I have the music too loud? Or, as you said in the video, I could adjust the master for this? I guess I'm wondering if you keep your music and sounds effects at a certain decibel / range. Thanks so much!
@AidinRobbins3 жыл бұрын
That's possibly the trickiest aspect of sound design- mixing music, sound effects, voiceover, etc to make sure none overpower the others. There's no right answer and ultimately it just takes practice! It's also possible the master volume is too loud- if so, you'll notice the meters clipping into red

@stefanbendik263 жыл бұрын
I find that a lot of sounds are missing when I play my videos without headphones. Haven’t been able to gind a workaround tho. Simply increasing the volume of a sound effect makes it too loud on headphones…
@AidinRobbins3 жыл бұрын
Lower/bassier sounds tend to be less noticeable without headphones- best advice is just to be aware of this and not rely on those bass sounds for your sound design as they'll likely go unheard for a lot of viewers. Just a tricky process of compromising and finding some balance :)
