I definitely feel like when I went in 2018 I was not in the forest enough! Also a tip! We came with a camper and when they asked us “Do you want privacy or do you want to party?” We said “PARTY!“ not knowing that the struggle bus right next to us was literally not sleeping the entire weekend. They had shows and there were people all around our camper on… EVERYTHING and it did get a little scary. SO if you bring a camper and they ask SAY PRIVACY lol

I moved back home from the Army in 2020 after having planned the entire past year to go to the 2020 EF (wouldve been my first) as I was getting out. Then COVID struck. The running joke with my friends was I cursed EF. But holy cow I finally am able to go next month, as well as being able to see my favorite artist Porter Robinson for the 1st (and 2nd time in the case of Air2Earth) time. As a forest rookie, thank you so much for this video, its interesting to hear how other compare forest compared to how fondly your own friends speak on it. And of course the amazing tips

Hey Jess, thanks for making this. Never been to a music festival, but EF sounds like my vibe. Question Are there places to "get away", like if the amount of people or music is getting overwhelming? I see some videos where people are everywhere, are there parts of the forest that become less crowded or meant for relaxing? That hammock picture looked peaceful.

this is a great question! There are definitely places to get away, especially at night time. The hammocks are actually a great spot for that. I will say that once the festival starts, its hard to find real quiet (no music at all) but there are some places throughout the forest where its quieter. I normally need to take a break at least once a night :)

I would add that you may want to bring ear plugs. Depending where you are camped, it can be quiet or busy/loud. Night time is when it tends to be the busiest in the actual forest area.
