You did a perfect job pacing this video-- concisely discussing a topic in a complete and timely manner. Also, might I add, you have practical and concrete tips for writing as well.

The pace of this video was fast... :-D A lot of great points. I'll be thinking a lot about "Scene and Summary." I've tried to use summary where my narrative needs to move forward with little character development. If the characters are experiencing perspective changes, I want to "scene" that out, but if they just need to go from point A to point B, then I try to summarize. This is hard to do, and my first draft explained a whole lot that didn't need explaining, but I think that's common--and I'm still better than Brandon Sanderson, and he's done alright... lol.

Idk how you do it, but you always post vidoes about subjects I need. I was just agonizing over my books pacing. Thank you

i want to make my book fast paced but i feel like i don’t have enough content in the storyline to do this? any tips on how to lengthen my book? (i don’t really think there is room for another plot line to intertwine)

I'd recommend studying story structures (there are lots, such as save the cat or the hero's journey) to help you pin point plot beats you might be missing! If you don't have room for other plotlines, I'd take a look at your characters and see if there are any relationships that might be underdeveloped.

I believe description slows down pace while narration quickens pace.....don't you think?

My book is very fast paced (I went from the beginning to the main conflict in 90 pages. But I like it that way but I worry that it’s too fast sometimes)

It depends on what's being shown, if the 90 pages are just about the main conflict a fast pacing makes sense. However when you have to develop characters you have to dial it back a bit, fast pace works perfectly if it's a rushed situation. It is perfectly fine to have a mix of pacing, most books have that, some scenes work best with this pacing or that pacing, there's a time and place for everything. Just read what you wrote and analyze if the pacing seems good enough to you.
