Congratulations to you both. I am planning a destination wedding in Montego Bay, at a Villa. It's not one of those inclusive places, but is beautiful. I was wondering, Did you bring the gift bags with you on the plane? or Did the planner get the items for you? How did you plan décor? How many people did you actually have?

Yes, I ordered the gift bags on Etsy and brought them with me and all of the items inside. The planner handled the decor. We had 40 people.

I can't remember now but we spent more than we planned for. Mainly due to conversion rates! We forgot to mention that but things just cost more in Paris. The weather was great! I don't even think it rained while we were there.

Who was your wedding planner?

I want a destination wedding but I'm concerned about family coming. How many people did you invite and how many people actually came?

[@kbmaria]

We invited all of our families not including children and close friends but really we knew most of them wouldn't come. Sent out about 130 invites (most households had couples) but we had 40 guests total. We were able to celebrate with family at my bridal shower. That's something you have to be ok with if you're traveling. I was able to make the decision by asking myself, "If our wedding is near our family, and some still don't come, would I be mad that we didn't do it in Paris like we wanted to?" The answer was yes, so we did it in Paris. Hopefully this helps!
