Thanks for sharing tips and welcoming (hope it's the right word) friendly suggestions. I watch Tmyers hand work as well and find it sometimes too much, but that's her style. I prefer unusual things but still elegant, with many happy colours. Find it hard to make twice the same thing. I do not sell but listening to you start thinking about it. It is not easy to be commercial, especially now with so big competition with -made in China -stuff. Here in Australia it is very popular to buy from China. And it is easy to find cheap fabric sale, brand new fabric in local warehouses, sometimes cheaper than in thrift stores. Second hand stores are great for wool. I like your way of just a few patterns in the garment. Anyway, wishing you good luck and enjoy. I think that the biggest happiness is to see something nice , made by our own hands and creativity. And it has no price. 🥰

Thank you so much for your comment and suggestions, yes I always welcome them! 😁 I totally understand what you are saying, made in China is big every where, I am not competing with China (none can) but I always sold my bags, sometimes I have many repeat customers, I am hoping to be able to create something unique and mine and I know I won't be rich making it, but as you say making something with your hands makes me so happy! thanks a bunch lovely 😁❤️

From my experience as a garment maker and selling on Etsy, the wildest thing you could possibly make is what actually sold. Ha ha I was always amazed. I designed a pair of custom lace leggings that everyone decided they loved and it turned into such a job very quickly. I don't know how many hundreds of pairs I made before I tried to get someone to hire them to make them, but of course they could never make them to my standard so that didn't work either.😅

Love this video! So many others get into the legalities of business; get licences; take classes or seminars that are way out of my budget; buy a machine for every imaginable part of construction (some have 5+ machines)... hearing all of this is depressing and then I doubt myself..... BUT YOU hit just the basics which I believe is the most important...all the other stuff can wait until you just start...and then sell to finance all the other things.... Thank you for restoring my motivation.

Great video Luz! So true, I enjoy watching so many different upcycle KZbinrs but their esthetic isn't necessarily mine but I love the artistry and thought process. That's always fun to watch because it inspires me in different ways. Oh my gosh, that's one thing I'm particular about and that's construction, I just don't want to randomly cut stuff and put it together 😂. Agree, I'm all about constructive criticism, I shut down anything that's negative. Enjoy all the tips😊

How do you figure out what people really want to wear? Do your buyers want to dress modestly, comfortable, and professional in upcycled clothing (as I do)?
@bcmagnolia11702 ай бұрын
@@arvettadelashmit9337 In my experience they want items that nobody else has. You can buy normal anywhere now. 🙂🙃

If you want to sell your sewing the best is taste the waters, put a few pieces out and see the reception, get enough feedback to get a good idea, I found out that there is almost always an audience for everything. I hope this helped? thank you lovely 😁❤️
