Here's a pro strat I figured out on how to get Pantheon unlocks quickly. Create a custom realm with a single continent and no oceans. Set size to small, number of factions to 2, and distance between factions to Close. Create a Mystic culture with the Shadow Walkers trait. Build scouts every turn and set them to auto-explore. Don't do anything else - just explore with the scouts. Once you found the second player - declare a war on them and immediately surrender. The second faction now gets a Military victory, and since you are their vassal - you also get a military victory. Which gets you 500 pantheon xp and 1 pantheon point. The whole thing takes about 5-10 minutes per run, I usually find the opponent by turn 4-5.
@danielvanpatten5815 Жыл бұрын
You can simplify it even more: Don't build additional scouts. Instead, turn off Unit Movement in the settings screen and just set your starting 2 armies to auto-explore. Then mash the End Turn button. It takes less time to mash End Turn than it does to click on the screen to build scouts and set them to auto exploring. Total time is about 2 minutes per 500 Pantheon XP. Sometimes you even get lucky and encounter the enemy AI on Turn 3. Average is about Turn 8. Sometimes Turn 15 if you are unlucky. But you're spamming End Turn so fast the difference is a matter of 10-20 seconds. You can get even faster if you create a custom faction (with Shadow Walkers) with a name using the letter A. It puts it first on the custom leader list and reduces the distance your mouse has to move. It's really not a big deal, but when you're doing this 50 times in a row it IS slightly less annoying if your race is on the top of the list. :P

I made a very thematic Dwarven faction with this culture and found that Spawnkin paired nicely with Tenacious and the inherent toughness of Industrious units. The combo of Spawnkin and Tenacious is already quite strong, but the added toughness from this culture gave them so much longevity - I don't think it's quite as strong as the combo of Wightborn and Fetid Legion on a Dark culture, allowing them to easily heal most, if not all the damage they take, but it seemed pretty close.

These are really nice, I think tips on how to expand on each of them would be nice too. I’m guessing you just spam outposts on these guys without actually making cities of them but haven’t tested it yet. My biggest issue is figuring out how to not get forward settled on every 2 turns (really wish they’d gut adapt settlers), or maybe I just need to turn the number of AIs down.

Having more ways to get bolstered will improve the effectiveness of your steel shapers. Staves of warding from the tome of warding, and adaptive armor from the tome of transmutation, are both nice to make your steelshapers better. Though come to think of it, I don't think I verified if adaptive armor and the regular bolstered mechanic stack. Transmuter should be helpful too, but I think it would have been better as a tier 3 unit. Don't take the tome of warding to early, even if it does shore up the weakness of industrious, you need better tomes in the early game. Ferocious is a good mind trait imo because these guys get extra retaliation attacks. I imagine combining it with supergrowth so you can hit back even more, though I haven't that yet.
@Chikanuk Жыл бұрын
Transmuter will need to change her aoe stun into something else to be T3 unit. Or player will just spam them and permastun everything. But she also need a +2 damage as T4 unit, 12 damage is standart for most of T3 mages. Problem with retalation build - even AI often is smart enough to avoid knocking into your porcupines before killing backline and breaking defensive stances or nuking\debuffing them. Also steelshaper is suck so much what you can replace it with any support with better results, especially bannerlord who can provide way superior support and synergy to your frontline.

hi, it's strange that you did not mention the fact to all their units has got Watchful. Watchful grants an extra retaliation attack. Which means that you get MAX value from Ferocious. Taunt allows to dissamble focus fire and the unit can't be controlled : it will try to run away to attack you if it's a range unit. Have more hp is more efficient than having more armor because moving from 5 to 7 armor get you 51% physical damage reduction instead 41%. Moreover hp helps you with magical damage too and synergy better with Halbardier.
@leoleo1035 Жыл бұрын
Not really, because if you have a lot of defense+ resistance, makes so that even small healing spells can make a huge difference, therefore, as long as you can heal damage, increasing defenses is much more efficient. Not only that, but it also increases the longevity of the army because World Map regeneration becomes more meaningful, whereas having huge health pools only makes it harder to heal the unit and makes it worse in long fights.

Imo, you forgot to mention what I considered their bread and butter culture spell, which is steelfury chant. It sinergizes with both their racial passive and their tier 3 unit, the bastion. Get some bolstered buffs from either order or mystic and you're ready to inflict some heavy pounding.

Industrious is by far weakest culture. They passive is ok, not the best, but userful one. Their prospect is indeed great. Xbow units is good, shields is userful... But in general - its terrible: All melee units lost 2 damage. On repeatable attacks. This is huge, especially for early T1 shield guy. But at least he compensate it with taunt. Halberder at least have damage reflection - its worse than taunt, but still something. But their T3 unit... Its simply the worst. Low damage, only marginaly userful passive, T3 unit cost... Why? Why pick him over taunt-guy? Who at least can lock enemy with his taunt. Over plant-shield unit from tome of the glade? Who have more damage with poison and have big heal? Over iron golem, who simply superior T3 shield unit in all regards - more damage, have aura on defense mod too, but most importantly - immune to status effects AND morale. He will never lose his defense, never break, etc. And steelshaper? Its another joke of a unit. She cannot heal without stacks, she cannot help if unit got bursted down in 1 turn, she preparations to simply heal 1 unit. And she also have pretty mediocre buff to 1 unit. Its worse support unit in entire game, and you will be happy to replace it with someone like bannerman. And she have physical damage attack. So - only 1 type of damage for entire culture. In the game industrious player want to replace his entire unit line from tomes and over cultures, cast Rune of Industry on them, and forgot about base units forever. And also to add insult to injury - DWARVEN FEMALES HAVE BEARDS! God, this so disgusting, i wish race creation have unit gender option. This also will help to roleplay as amazons and feudals, but main feature will be removal of this disgusting creatures.
