Hey Junkman, you forgot the squinty eyes that go with that cereal!!!! Nerds come in 2 separate bags that were elongated so you could open each side separately. The one thing that I will never forget, is the single serving packs from Kellogg's. We would eat all the good ones and the Special K was always left behind. Then mom would not buy anymore till we ate the Damn Special K!!!!!

That was a great trip down memory lane. I remember eating the C-3PO's. They had a character mad on the back of the box you could cut out. And a few of the others had some kind of prize or mail away but my brother usually ended up eating the ceral since most of the corn ones were like Cap'n Crunch, his favorite. Batman cereal was a diabetic nightmare. If I remember correctly the cereal was chocolate and there were also marshmallows. Very sugary even back then. Just yesterday I saw lucky charms with Frosted Flakes instead of the regular oat cereal. I couldn’t bring myself to buy them, think the two flavors together would just ruin em.

Smurf berry crunch cereal was the best Tasted great and stood up to the calvin& Hobbs test " if a cereal doesn't change the color of the milk its no good" Smurfberry turned milk a bright blue and even flavored the milk

I remember as a kid, my mom hated Cookie Crisp cereal lol she refused to buy it, but later on as I grew up, I got a chance to get it and eat it. It was pretty good. I think she assumed it was real chocolate chip cookies and it wasn't, but still tasted good. I found out later that if you mixed Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter cereal with Cocoa Pebbles, mmmm, that made the best Reeses Pieces tasting cereal! I miss eating that...

What a great romp down memory lane!! :D Haven"t eaten cereal for breakfast in AGES, but this brings back some sweet (in more ways than one) memories. Some of these cereals were better than others, but I remember trying and liking ALL of them!! And DUDE...how can you have NOT seen Ghostbusters until a few months ago?!?!?! Oh, and as far as how Michael Jackson got into the E.T. promotion...he recorded a song called "Someone in the Dark" for the E.T. soundtrack. It didn't make it into the film itself, but it WAS included in the storybook/audio version. It can be heard on the undated "Thriller" album release.

I stuck with Cheerios when I was a kid. I would get Fruit Loops or Cap'n Crunch ounce in a while. I switched to Corn Flakes when I was a teenager. I'm just not very adventurous when it comes to breakfast cereal. I remember my parents saying that's to much to pay for a bunch of sugar and marsh mellows when I asked for the gimmick cereals. It was still cool seeing those old commercials again. I remember all of them.

It doesn't have cones in it, but you can get Coldstone ice cream cereals, I think chocolate chip is one of the flavors, there's two or three. They come in the bags like Malt O Meal cereal.

Ah yes! The Pac-Man cereal were my favorite, of all time! Although I never cared too much about the marshmallows, which were ok, and came in 6 different shapes, including Ms Pac-Man, it's really the cereal pellets that tasted so great! I'd love for them to return in stores for a limited time.

It probably was rebranded Cap'n Crunch. I've heard a lot of the generic (store-brand) and name-brand cereals are made in the same factories. The difference being name brands might (or might not) have higher standards for consistent of the cereal oats. I sometimes taste a difference. Name-brands I've noticed used a bit more sugar sometimes otherwise the cereals are virtually identical. I try to be frugal so I'll usually go with a cheaper brand-name.

I remember/heard of all these, but I've only had Mr.T and BATMAN cereal. They were the same. It's pretty much Capt. Crunch. I've always loved Mr.T, but the commercial wasn't worthy of the character. :) But BATMAN, that's a cereal commercial! So epic and action packed I almost crapped my pants! 🦇 I never had the Batman bank, though. It's funny you brought up vanilla milk, on Saturday mornings my mom would make Cream of Wheat and vanilla milk. I know that sounds boring or lame, but when ever I think of one or the other, I think of watching Pee-Wee's Playhouse. :) What I like that's out there now is S'mores cereal. If you haven't had it, I recommend it. I think you'll like it. :) Thanks for the video 🥣

I forgot about some of the cereal you mentioned in this video. There are some you forgot to mention based on cartoons from the 80's. Do you remember Strawberry Shortcake and Smurf Berries cereal? My sisters and I enjoyed these brands in the 80's. I don't have an all-time favorite 80's cartoon-based cereal.
