He got a wound that needed 6 stitches!! Well, once you read the article, it was no brainer, since he decided to make it spin faster... by air compressor. While holding the toy in his BARE HAND! And the toy exploded. Stupidity is something marketing really can't foresee.

I had a few Sky Dancers as a child. I don't think I ever got hurt playing with them. Though I may have had one close call. I also have a fidget spinner. I keep it in my purse. But I've only used it once during an anxiety attack.

I personally don't have one, but if i were to use it, the only time it would distract me is if I purposely make it spin as fast as possible, other than that I would probably just spin it with one hand and focus on what I would be doing.

They also used to sell candy cigarettes that were gum. The gum was shaped like a cigarette (obviously) and wrapped in a paper. The gum had some kind of powder on it so when you blew through one end the powder would come out the other end and look like smoke.
