I'm 50 and have 0 wrinkles or fines lines on my forehead or between my brows due to "tape training". My mother thought I was insane and still thinks so! lol I did this several years ago as I found myself starting to get horizontal forehead lines. I didn't even realize I was making those expressions. I saw on KZbin kiniesiology tape being recommended, but I hated the stuff, so I bought Scotch tape instead. The one in the red packaging I found too sticky, so I got one in the green packaging instead that you showed in the video. What I did was I started taping from between my brows all the way up to just below my hairline (I overlapped the tape personally) and slept like this all night (hot stuff, I know). The strips of tape on my forehead were long continuous strips, and the strips between my brows were horizontal (not vertical) and wrapped over my nose (you feel it, as you should). This is all done after skincare has been applied and dried down as much as it will, of course. When you go to make those expressions subconsciously, you should be yielded by the slight discomfort and crinkling of the tape. I did this routine for about 3-4 months, I kid you not. lol That's how long it took to completely "cure" me from making those unwanted facial movements that were creating horizontal forehead lines. 100% Botox. Do it in the daytime as well, if you need that extra help. Totally works and nothing to lose. P.S. Was an aesthetican for over 20 years, never had a procedure done and only use inexpensive skincare. I've taken care of my skin every single day since I was a teen, and have made several lifestyle choices- rarely drink, don't smoke, get adequate sleep, drink lots of water and so on. Good skin does not need to cost $$.

@SheaWhitney3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, that's a good idea too!!!
@stupor_mundi3 жыл бұрын
Sounds promising but the adhesive makes me wonder if - over time - isn't it more damaging that constant pulling on the skin everytime you remove the tape? For example: on the fine skin around the eyes that we are always so careful not to pull, even as we apply eye cream it's always with gentle pats with a finger tip. Take care that in the long term all that tape pulling does not make that fine skin sag. Especially in under eyebrow, eyelid area and outer corners.
@alphanotmale18473 жыл бұрын
@@stupor_mundi have you heard about frownies? You can wear them to sleep and you have to wet the patch to take it back off, so that automatically forces you to not have to pull/stretch on your skin to take it off. When I was using them, it was easy because we all have to wash our face upon walking up anyway, so it’s not like you’re spending any additional time in your morning routine. And I can tell you from my own experience that frownies DO WORK! for as long as I used them, they did the job, the 11’s actually went away and my forehead became sensitive to my own facial expressions to the point that when I was going about my day, I would feel it when I initially frowned, even without the frownies on, so I would instantly stop myself! You can buy them online!

I was in my early 20s and starting to get the 2 furrows between my brows. I trained myself to not make that facial expression by consciously relaxing those muscles every time I frowned. If you don’t want to have to wear foundation also try this!!! 🔆🔆🔆🔆 The Isle of Paradise facial tanning drops! (You can use it on body too but I don’t). This makes a world of difference. Takes me from pasty BLEH to looking healthy & glowing with pretty skin (without makeup). I can’t wear makeup at work so this was a game changer for me! Also who wants to wear foundation when we are forced to wear masks all of the time? Lol How I use it: 2 drops with a ton of my moisturizer & put it on at night before bed all over face & neck .. bring it down to chest a little and behind the neck & ears too. It blends beautifully. Can’t tell where it starts / finishes. Don’t get it wet or touch it while it’s on. Wash off in the morning. I think it says leave it on for 5 hours at least (but check, I don’t have have the bottle w me right now). Lasts only 2-4 days but it’s easy to include it in your night time skin care every few days. Bottle will last forever (mine is in the shade Dark). QVC has great deals on these. The drops says 1-12 I think , find your sweet spot for your skin tone BUT start small. Especially right now it’s winter... summer time I would use a bit more. 2-4 drops. The key is not to overdo it. You want it to be undetectable besides looking prettier 😉 I also shave my face (with the facial razor) and that + the drops is the perfect combo!! The shaving exfoliates your skin leaving with you with a beautiful completion. Try. It. (Just don’t use a regular shaver). The drops can be used without shaving first and it still looks beautiful :)

I've been in the beauty/skincare space for a long time, but always keep up-to-date. With blush placement, it really depends on the individuals face shape and to an extent, what look you're going for. Yes, you typically want to lift, further back is usually best and does suit many people. However, there are just those faces where blush placement mainly on the apples suits them the best. Also, something I see some MUA's doing that drives me nuts is asking the client to smile and then applying the blush. Such a no-no. Now when the client's face relaxes the blush placement will drop. The client's face should be at ease when applying blush..... always.

For whatever reason, since high school, I’ve been extremely conscious of not moving my forehead to the point where I’m just programmed to not wrinkle my brow or forehead, and I’m 36 now with little to no forehead wrinkles.

I wish I had done what you did! I was exactly the opposite of you! Since high school I started frowning more than ever and in my mid 30’s I finally saw the sad results! But the tape trick and other alternatives out there do work! Fortunately!

You mean that serum makes your hair grow back? If something like that really existed, it would be so popular because people would know about it (especially men). The hair salon can make your hair "appear" grown back..I don't feel a serum creates true hair growth .. but I could always be wrong 😬🤔

I’m totally going to try the tape trick!… Its definitely worth the try- worst thing that could happen is that it may not work 🤷🏼♀️ Although, I will say that I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using neurotoxins (Botox is specific brand name of neurotoxins), and when done in such a way that your face doesn’t appear completely frozen- I personally think it can look really good and make a person look ‘refreshed’! So I’m wondering if neurotoxins paired with the tape might be a great duo?!… Perhaps as the ‘Botox’ begins to wear off, the tape with help with its longevity and overall goals of preserving our skin. 😊🙌🏼

@@SheaWhitney I appreciate the tape thing! Last night I told my husband I’m getting lines on my forehead (I’m 32). I can’t afford Botox. If I can train myself to not make faces that cause the lines, I’ll do it. Seems easy enough! I trained myself to do plenty of things, look people in the eye, stand tall with my head head high, and heck I trained myself to train a dog. I’m a type A and I do things most people don’t to get results I want. I can’t thank you enough! 🤗

Tape is a great idea to help those bad habit facial movements! But Gurl, when you’re my age, I’m sure you’ll want a little Botox. 😉 Also, thanks for mentioning brow lams & lash lifts! I’m an esthetician & both are very popular services that I perform on clients. Remember you have to stop using your lash growth serum a couple weeks before you get a lash lift.😘
