Highland Gamer the only time it would be faking, in the sense that he was saying is if it was player piano (the old fashioned ones, or newer pianos that incorporate a disc.) There are situations where it’s OK to fake it, perhaps using chords, because some music might be too difficult for your average pianist or organist. It was liberating to hear a famous organist saying that on a DVD I have.
