People have always exagerated ET's failure to massive proportions. The game did sell well and it had a minuscule budget, it just didn't match Atari's insane amount of shipped copies. The game is bad, but not much compared to your average Atari game. The crash of 83 was due to a series of factors and Pac Man probably did more damage to the brand because it also had insane expectations and was directly compared to the superior arcade version. And even though the console market definitely crashed, the arcade market would still be running fine regardless of the NES success.

Concord's development makes a lot more sense if you see it through the investor's perspective. In 2016 this pitch would have looked profitable. "We want to make a new game in a very popular genre (hero shooter) inspired by a very popular movie (Guardians of the Galaxy) with themes that people claim to be the industry's future (ESG)." This is exactly the kind of pitch that would attract an investor disconnected with the audience and who only cares to make a big profit.

This game has been in development for 8 years, and back in 2016 people didn't hate DEI nearly as much as they do now, I mean, not to the point that even normies are aware of it now. They tried to capitalize on the OW craze of the time except with their own ideals for character design. Even if it would've flopped anyway, at least it would've made more sense to release a game like this back in 2016, but they're so incompetent at everything that it took them 8 years, long after that craze was gone, to finish one game. There's a reason why they'd rather corrupt already existing IPs and game studios than make stuff all on their own.

The fact that Bloober is dialing back some of the sexual elements of SH2 shows they know nothing about the game, let alone the series. The Vampire one reminded me, there's this independent game called Vampire Syndicate that just opened crowd funding. It looks like it might prove a more, uh, shall we say _based_ alternative to the upcoming Vampire Masquerade dumpster fire. I'd say its at least worth keeping an eye on.

When I first saw the announcement trailer for "marathon," I was like, "Oh nice, a blast from the past." Then I saw the description where it said it was going to a live-service multiplayer shooter. I immediately was turned off from it. They should have left it as doom clone again, and they would have probably made bank from it. I know people (including me) would love more games like doom 2016 and doom eternal, but I guess doom the dark ages is good enough.

Since I found out that in One Piece live action, Nami's sister was played by a black actress, I skipped one piece live action. I predict that in season 2, they will use some black people to replace some characters who are not black people in the original. So, I decide to skip it forever.
