Thank you Simillion, it works awesomely fine with Freestyler software, no glitch at all. Thanks for sharing. Also thanks Steve too. Just a note for others regarding the Driver, when I install it in Win 10, just go to Device Manager, and you can see that the driver has not been installed, so just right click and update the driver online, and it will find the driver and install it. (There were 2 drivers to be installed). In Windows 7, you have to search the driver manually. Search for FT232R USB UART Driver. To install it, just right click on the missing driver item in your Device manager, and update the driver, and choose Browse my computer and direct it to the folder after you unzip it. Hope it helps. Must 2 light are turned on? The yellow one and the red one? Mine's is only red..

Arnaud YT The red one is just to indicate power. The other green/yellow one is to indicate that signal is being sent. So yes you need to have both of those LED's on to control your fixture(s). If you do not see the device showing up in your software of choice (QLC+ is recommended), then consider installing/reinstalling the driver for it. Let me know if this helped!

FelipeTresesenta Sure! If you are using Freestyler I would recommend using a different program. Use QLC+ which is free and see if that helps. Could you also please specify what problems you are experiencing with the Par 64?

Open hat app and that will let you create a fixture definition for the light. (You need to know which channels do what on your fixture. Like ch. 1= Red...) Then save the definition and open up QLC+ add a fixture. and start programming light shows!

Nice work... Just did the same build from the same site you did and I have a question... When I plugged it the power red light came on fine, driver installed fine and then shows up in hardware, then opened freestyle went thru setup and the board showed up, save it but instead of getting a green or blue flashing light... the 2nd lite is flashing red... so I closed out and went back to the site and then ran the DMX_test thing and it gives me an error saying: "DMX Adapter Found Set Data Fault! Set Baud Rate Fault!" Got any ideas why it would say this? bad board? crossed wires? ...or is the transmitting light supposed to be flashing red...

+Gene Sisson Hi so transmitting light should be flashing green and that set data fault error seems to be a faulty board but I may be wrong. Post about your error on that guide page/blog and someone might have a solution. It's almost as if the firmware that was flashed to chip was corrupt. I don't know I'm just throwing a couple ideas out there. Let me know if you have any news and good luck!

That software is not under the compatible software list, but as long as Daslight is compatible with the Entec Open DMX then you should be fine.

The driver gets installed automatically when you plug it into the usb port. It's PnP. If your on Mac read the info on how to get it to work with a Mac in the description.
