I think some of the guitar parts on that album would have likely been double tracked too which gives a similar effect, but pretty sure he used some chorus on that album :-)

I was down on the floor in front of the right speaker on the side barrier, excellent view apart from when a tall dick left the front and came back 20 mins later and stood in front of me for 2 songs, grr but he soon sodded off into the mosh pit haha but other than that I think it was better than AIC there at 2018 9.5 (-0.5 because of lanky dickhead) Got myself a Jerry Cat-rell tshirt, weird but wonderful

I wonder, are you pushing the amp for overdrive or a pedal? I do like Catalinbread pedals, except for the Bellepochdeluxe. It is sucking power and tone even with a buffered boost pedal. The origional smaller one-no problem. I may be doing something wrong. Great video-Thank you.

I’m using a distortion pedal for a couple of the tunes (Empress Effects Heavy) 😀🤘
@solomonsanchez18972 жыл бұрын
Shawn, do you have the BED in trails or true bypass mode? Depending on whatever pedal is before or after, it could probably use you opening the pedal and flipping the switch opposite of whatever it is set to now. You should have a description of the switch in the product manual, but if you don't have one, Catalinbread has a downloadable pdf manual on their website.

Hey again, I'm working on building a pedalboard and am stuck on a chorus to pick. This one sounds great, but even the used ones are more than I'd like to spend. You have any recommendations at or below $125ish? I was looking at probably the small clone, ehx eddy, or fender bubbler. Small clone is the easy choice since Kurt used it, but the single knob turns me odd, I like more options. You always do such great gear demos I figured I'd ask. Thanks!
@LetsPlayAll6 ай бұрын
There’s loads tbh, depends what features you’re after. Some will have vibrato modes too which are cool so you may want to factor that in. Cheapest option is the Behringer ultra chorus, it’s about £25 and has a plastic enclosure (based on a boss super chorus), but personally i always like my modulation effects to have a mix or level knob so I can decide how subtle or crazy I want it to sound. The MXR analog chorus is decent value, haven’t tried the fender bubbler but they do make excellent value pedals, great deals s/h on those and I think that has a level control. Not sure if that’s volume or mix of effect tho. The walrus audio elements chorus is excellent value too and has a mix control if you can’t stretch to the Julia (which is fab and has vibrato too) - it’s digital rather than analog hence it’s cheaper. There’s a bunch to choose from tbh so really depends what you’re after. The boss ce-2w is another one and a very lush sounding chorus. I should probably do a buyers guide at some point haha - anyways hope it helps!
@EddieScissorz6 ай бұрын
@@LetsPlayAll thanks so much. I'll loo into those you mentioned. I mostly going for a nirvana/Alice in chains vibe. Don't think I'll need much vibrato. Just some good chorus but definitely want knobs to tweak the sound. I may just splurge and get this one since it sounds so good. Found a used one for $130
@EddieScissorz6 ай бұрын
@LetsPlayAll and yes, please do a buying guide. All these reviews I watch just shred and noodle or play jazzy stuff. I wanna see how they work with what I play, 90s alt rock. I think that's why I'm struggling so much to pick a pedal, cuz it's hard to imagine how it sounds in my music when everyone's just playing jazz in every demo. You can grab a whole new audience
