Update on the little skeleton. Recently my wife has been viewing alot of videos pertaining to this discovery. It actually isn't what they originally identified it as. *_To anyone_** saying that the lady should have recieved a life sentence, here's why she didn't:* According to state laws they can _only_ give life sentences if the plan actually went through and her husband was killed. It would be second degree murder and she would be a valid _accomplice._ That would roughly be a _70-110 year_ sentence depending on the judge and circumstances leading up. What they did here is fully valid.

I happen to think what she got was relatively reasonable. Even if we assume 5 years rather than 20, that is still a long ass time to be languishing in prison, almost certainly enough to teach her a lesson and stop her doing it again (unless there's something much more wrong with her than we are privy to). And as you say, she didn't ACTUALLY get anyone killed. Whilst I understand the animal desire for punishment and revenge, I feel the sentence she got was appropriate, especially if we assume more along the lines of 10 years.

Tourists come here every year to see Blackbeard's home, the pirate/family royalty graveyard, scenery, etc. Anyway, people still use classic styled sail ships to get around and we STILL get tourists who call the news and post their "float boat" videos on social media. Our town doesn't correct them nor embrace them, they keep the mystery going to attract more tourists. The only way I can explain it to you is the same way it was explained to me.....you know how when it's hot outside while you're driving and the heat from the pavement makes the roads look like water from afar? Well the sky manipulates our seeing view from afar when it comes to temperature change in the ocean.

4. I live on the verge of the Mojave desert, and can tell you with absolute certainty that the desert experiences freezing temperatures regularly. Then again, most of the Mojave desert is at an elevation of over 3000 feet. Naturally, death Valley is below sea level, and therefore freezing temperatures are less common there, but it can still get very cold in the winter time even in Death Valley. High winds are also quite common in the wintertime all across the Mohave Desert.
