I've always had dogs and was hesitant to get a cat for my daughter. Mainly because we have a big pitbull. We decided to get one for Christmas but when I went to adopt, there were two kittens, who were brothers, curled up together. I couldn't break them up so we have two cats now. I am so happy I did, they are wonderful with my daughter. They were super scared of the dog at first and she was really curious which made it worse. Not even 3 months later, they are besties. They sleep together and the cats rub on her when they walk by. The kittens are really sweet and hilarious to watch together. I'm really glad we got them. Thanks for the video.

Cats spend a great majority of their time in hunting mode, just like big cats do. I love all cats and I'm extremely fond of mountain lions. I hate that so many people hurt big cats and view them as dangerous which they can be but you just have to take proper precautions if you're in their territory lol. They're beautiful and the world needs them. I want to hug a big cat so bad but I have a very hands off policy when it comes to wild animals. They're better appreciated from an extreme distance. I do NOT like these animal preserves where humans can get to close to them or where the staff and visitors are allowed to handle their kittens. It teaches them to be less weary around humans and usually ends up bad for all parties involved.
@LisaJPStuff9 жыл бұрын
+Cole and Marmalade that's why I really like the work that big cat rescue are doing. BTW did I see you in one of their clips, trying to see if big cats like Marmite, and why you shouldn't turn your back on a big cat? If it was you, as I suspect it may have been, I'm so glad that you're giving them your support, they are doing a commendable and tough job. I can't understand why the US has such crazy laws allowing people to own such magnificent, but totally dangerous creatures. Here in Australia, we wouldn't even dream of doing it. We can't even keep our native animals as pets. I love my cats, but I know how little they actually are 'domesticated', and how easily they can become feral, or just be terrors to the local wildlife. Mine is a bit of a 'murder cat' but I try to minimize his outside time, to daylight hours only. Which around here means that the majority of the indigenous critters are safe.
@logicalthinker84184 жыл бұрын
I totally agree!
@jasoncrobar7245 жыл бұрын
Pumas / cougars / panthers / mountain lions... Whatever you choose to call them, seem the most like our pet cats, just 15-20 times the size. They are super cute, just not as pets. Imagine you're in bed, under the blankets, and your foot moves, and your 8 lb pet cat pounces on it. It's cute. If your 150 lb pet cougar pounces on it, you're calling 911, hoping that you don't bleed out & that the doctor can re-attach your foot... much less cute. If your cat lays on your arm, grooming himself, and keeps going past his own paw, starts licking your arm... it's rough, but it's cute. You may need to move your arm if he stays on one spot for a while, but nothing more. If your puma starts licking your arm, it's less like sandpaper, more like a wood rasp. You would have a much tougher time trying to move your arm. That tongue could quickly draw blood. Then you have a puma with a taste of your blood, pinning your arm down. That is unlikely to end well. They're still in the top 2 of my favourite big cats (along with cheetahs), but even though they're both ridiculously cute, I wouldn't want either as a pet.
@samiam6195 жыл бұрын
Jason Crobar You are a smart idiot. NO ONE is advocating having a Puma for a pet. So warning people about the dangers of having one for a pet is (ooo look at me I know stuff you don’t) stupid.

@@samiam619 you seem a little stressed. The person wasn't trying to flaunt or say what's already been said. Haha so cute xD. The BEST thing about this channel is that they don't train their cats to do what the owner wants them to do. The owner selects videos that he already has and puts them in _his_ videos where its suitable. Well, maybe sometimes the owner trains them to do certain stuff/actions but not always. And that's what I love most about this channel. They don't force pets to do what they're supposed to do. They take help from vids they already have. That's why you can see the same cat scenes in some of the videos. I love this channel, keep it up. This is one of the few channels where there is no abuse to pets to do anything. Thank you. There are those few cases where injures make returning to the wild impossible. I sometimes foster baby animals found without their mother, or near their dead mother. My goal for all of my fosters is the eventual return to the wild. My 6th foster, an adult eagle with a badly broken and infected wing, ended up having the wing amputated. There was no way it would survive in the wild with one wing. It now has a permanent home at a local zoo where it lives in a special enclosure with lots of perches. My current foster is a three week old wolf pup. I've hand raised several panther cubs, lion cubs, tiger cubs, wolf pups, and two bear cubs. These animals are wild animals, and I do have my share of injuries from them. They are not pets. I only take the role of mom to them, and I do my best to not get attached. I do have one foster failure, an adult black and white male wolf, which we are pretty sure is a husky/wolf hybrid. It has the marking of a husky and acts like one. I'm beginning to wonder if he is actually all husky. He was found with a litter of wolf pups, so who knows for sure what he is.

I'm aware of that..but thought there was more to what you were saying cause you specified chicken ( & not any other animal bone).

Wife and I love cats. We now feed and care for 6, 3 outside and 3 inside ones (all fixed) with 2 of the outside ones feral. Baby Kitty (6 yr old), the first is feral and grandmother to Bucket. Next is Fluffers (4 yr old) a feral cat and son to Baby Kitty and Uncle to Bucket. After that is Bucket, I spent 3 hours under the house to catch her and her 3 siblings one June day in Southern California (it’s a dry heat!) when they were 3 weeks old. Off to Petco for supplies and baby cat milk for the Vet. My wife carried Bucket everywhere. I put them in the main bathroom with a 2" high piece of plywood across the door. We let the mother in every couple of hours to nurse. That was the only time we could pet that feral cat. We found homes for the 3 siblings and the mother disappeared. Wife decided Bucket was lonely, so she went to a shelter and brought home a Mancoon (?) breed that was the same size and age as Bucket. So Tiggy enter the home. All was fine till November when this orange and white kitten (he looks just like Marmalade) kitten soaking wet and sick and hunger was in the middle of a busy road meowing. This cat was on deaths door! I stopped (in the road) and picked the kitten up and took him home, the Vet was closed. We still had kitten milk left over from the other two. Using a syringe we got food down him. Put a hand towel in the microwave to warm it up. I got in my chair, put the kitten on my shoulder then put the warm towel over him with a larger towel on us. I took him to the box every hour or so. The wife would give milk to him with the syringe and I’d put him back on my shoulder. The next day was off to the Vet. He was surprised that the cat was alive. He doctored him and we paid for some medications. The Vet said that “he will probably go to sleep and not wake up because he is so sick”. We followed the Vet directions but all day he way on my shoulder and all night he was on my arm between my wife and I and covered up to stay warm. I slept with “one eye open” to feed and care and take to him for many nights. So Payday named after the candy bar became our 3rd inside cat and decided I was his human. At 2 yrs old he will get in bed, my wife will say “where’s your arm, Payday?” and he will come lay on my arm all night. The latest addition is Squiggles. This in an adult fixed male tabby that someone dropped at our house. Supper friendly and affectionate, he is our “shop cat”. Fluffers doesn’t like him so he hangs out at my shop. Every morning and evening is devoted to 15 - 30 minutes of head scratching and affection. Boy did I go on a tangent. I hear a Cheetah is the only big cat that comes close to being domesticated. Is this true. I’ve petted Cheetahs in South Africa.

The greatist way of respecting big cat is leave them where they belong, the closest thing of loving them is having a domestic cat and love it. Wanna see big cat's behavior, go on national geografic or watch documentaries taken by people who respect their habitat. A zoo is NOT a good way of living for these creatures who nuridge on being wild and being free. A zoo or circus animal is never happy, that counts for any animal kept in captivity, even the ones who provide milk and meat, think about it. They are being used as a product for milk, meat, eggs, body-fluids, fur-coats, feathers, leather, honey, floor-rugs, ivory, horn-products, ways to make old fashion believe florish, cats and dogs taken from the streets to eat and put in meat-industry, mules exploided, bears taken from body fluids, ducks and rabits who's fur is taken, minks who's skin is taken, cows who starve but only exist for their skin, goezes who get their liver to be sickended only to make food for the rich and not knowing, fish still taken out of the sea, all over the world, some species barely survive, whales could for a fatsubstance they have, seals slaugtered for their skin........... For me it is unbelievable that in many years, man who wants to make money allways finds some animal to provide. I forgot ivory and horns.........Mankind in my mind will keep on destroying animals, When they are done with that, they will destroy the poorest in this world for their existince, space and being. No one poor fights back with no money, the richest are allready aware of that. This will not happen while I'm alive, I am sure, it only makes you think about making lots fo children you can not provide for, to whom you do not give an education, they end up way far on the back of the row, think about it, before you give birth to your thirth, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventhe or more. Hey, no mum with 7 reads my post and that is exactly what i am talking about. Uneducated, no scooling, no look at this world and it's problems........... As I said, I will be long gone before problems starts, this Earth can only cope with an amount of inhabitants wich is allready reached very high levels. I made sure not to put any more life on this planet, easy, my worries are mine, not those of children or grandchildren, there are none ! My worries wil die with me..........

Problem is,there may come a time where the only safe places for big cats will be zoos and large wild life enclosures simply due to poachers,people encroaching on their territory with new construction or villagers killing them because of what they MIGHT do. Sad thing is that maybe the best thing that can be done for endangered species is to take them and put them in enclosed habitats. It's not a good choice but it may be the only choice. Either that or let the species die out and I don't consider that an option. If it is something like the Sumatran tiger than you might be able to leave it where it is. Since Sumatra is an island maybe you can pay the islanders to protect the tigers before they end up extinct,which I guess is close to happening. I've seen pictures of those cats. Smaller than their Bengal and Siberian cousins and scruffier looking. Also as far as I can figure out they aren't known for attacking people.
