Even as an altoids lover, these tins look a bit better due to them being flatter than altoids tins. Besides, it’s more wasteful to buy mints you don’t like just so you can have the tin.

Might have to try this I've been obsessed with turning my late grandmother's belongings into memorial pieces and these would be perfect for the time capsule pieces I'm currently working on. Last year your bullet journal videos inspired me to create time capsule journals which I was actually able to stick with something I rarely do so thank you for that❤ I'm really trying to downsize all of my belongings and it's been tough since grandma passed away and no one understands what she meant to me and are trying to get me to just get rid of everything I mean sure I'm willing to move on but I still want to have something to remember her by. People are draining to be honest very exhausting to deal with especially on a daily basis 😢

I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your grandmother - I lost my Grammy last March, I can definitely empathize with wanting to keep everything! We’ve slowly started going through her things, but I know it’s hard - I bet your grandmother would love the time capsule journals you made! (that’s a great idea actually, I might have to steal that!) If you have the space to store things, don’t feel too much pressure to go through everything at once. (I don’t even want to think about the boxes I still have to go through - believe me I get how draining it can be) I’m sure she knows how much you love her, but I bet she’d understand if you can’t keep everything 💜🫶🏻

I took an old clips tin (smaller than the tins on the video) and I have it PACKED. Inside I have: A needle with different threads. The smallest chapstick. Qtips. Clips. A hairtie. Ibuprofen and antihistamine. Bandaids. Three loose mints. Ive used it for years!! Now i keep it inside a pencilcase I made myself that also has some other suff in it. A lighter, a small hair comb, a perfume sample, a keychain bag, a toothbrush with toothpaste, a small lotion, tampon, condom, panty liner, lipstick a nail files.

Great idea! I used the tins to make prayer boxes. Each contained a small stack of papers (i couldn't find any miniature tablets) to write your prayer on, and a small pen. I bought them at Dollar Tree; they came in a pack of 10 i think, at Christmas time. They are the oerfect size! I put a Bible verse inside the lid, which were roughly the size of a business card. They turned out really cute! My sister loves Altoids and always has them, so she saved the tins for me, but i also ordered some from Amazon. I liked them much better because the lids were smooth.

Those altoids tins are so fun to decorate like I one where I created it into a library 📚 of my favorite with a small hanging doll of Belle reading a book aided by a ladder and the other one I just made it into a pop out version of movie themed ones. Or booked theme ones. I sometimes also do the wallet trends but I add a zipper to it

The Bobbie pin you could of made it a fancy by adding a gem and the safety pin some tiny beads or a word. My daughter made one with a rolled up paper with a word or two with tiny folded star papers.

Why not put debit and credit cards inside to keep your data safe. The metal will keep RFID readers from reading your cards. Cheaper than a special wallet.

These are cute to make and to look at, but not very functional. If you had that much of a hassle trying to get those beads to stick on the hello kitty tin, I'm sure they will fall off the first use. Let's be real, wallets go through hell with everyday use. I wouldn't call this a "wallet". I could call it WHAT IT IS- a cute and creatively decorated tin! It's a great idea, but it's not a wallet
