We’ve identified 10 action areas across our value chain where we can make the most impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Alongside more stretching science-based targets and a step up in advocacy, these 10 areas shape our updated Climate Transition Action Plan.
Here are some of the actions we’re taking:
0.44 Scaling our Supplier Climate Programme to reduce emissions from raw materials, ingredients and packaging.
0.56 Investing in deforestation-free commodities and engaging with local stakeholders to meet future demand.
1.06 Reformulating our products to use lower-impact ingredients and to have less impact overall, as with our ice creams that can be stored at warmer temperatures in more energy-efficient freezers.
Our success relies on the support of others, and we have set out ‘asks’ of business, governments and regulators to help us overcome barriers and accelerate a net zero economy.
