I never gave up my dresses/skirts with knee high boots. For a long time, only ankle boots were available, but I just wore my old knee-highs with dresses. This year, I finally found some of the colors in knee-highs I wanted: navy and a dark, cool, brown. I already had the cognac/tan brown boots, this color dominated for many years and it took ages for other shades to finally appear in the market. As a mostly skirt and dress wearer, I like having knee-high boots in my neutral and basic colors, as well as ankle boots for trousers. I love your trend videos, thanks❤

As a woman with a larger bust and also a 'belly' those belt bags around my waist or crossed over the front area no-go for me. I will wear a smaller, thin strapped cross-body bag at times when I need my hands free. (But I love my elegant handbags the best.) Same view in the sweaters over shoulder and tied in front-I don't need more cloth sticking out in front w/ my chest and belly. lol I am a 'silver girl' and will remain so. Prefer all the 'cooler' colors every time (and I don't wear black). Oh, long coats, yes please! Love my grey and blue colors. Thanks for all the fashion info.

Love this video Leoni. So many wonderful images that were a feast to my eyes. I prefer gold too so I’m excited about that. I’ve been moving grey clothes out as I got bored with it. My hair is a beautiful mixture of silvers, long, thick with a curly ends and looks great with grey but I got so bored and wanted to being colour into my wardrobe (black looks stunning too). Taupes have replaced it and I love it, looks good. I’m a big fan of waist belts, was wearing them in 2000 in a boho way. I’ve just done a overhaul (only in my mind atm!) and want to elevate my style now. Stylish yet understated, know what I mean? 62 and got to keep an eye on these things! Plus have put an extra layer of flesh on this last year and doesn’t feel good on my 5’ frame. Thanks for your channel. Lily Silk has great items. I just received two items a couple days ago. Plus, I've been wearing their 100% cashmere turtlenecks for some years now and love them. And as for 100% cashmere in general, I've owned such pieces for decades and have machine washed them in the washing machine. I just put the item into a large white lingerie bag, put it into the washing machine, use liquid laundry detergent, and wash in cold water and on gentle cycle. After the item is washed, I hang it up and either leave it inside to dry or hang it in my car with the windows up as the natural heat dries the item very fast. Greetings from Los Angeles

I didn't realize grey had been out for a few seasons. I ended up with quite a bit of it in my wardrobe & got kind of tired of it. I was trying to avoid owning all black & light grey was the softer option since finding tans, camels & browns was difficult (warm midtoned colors are better on me) for a while. I did finally find a long camel wool coat about 2 years ago. When you wear plus size it is harder to find natural fabrics (everything is poly or viscose) & non black neutrals. I wish Lily Silk had plus sizing on more items.

This was a spectacular video. Everything was wearable including the leggings and belt bags. I am so excited to start wearing them. Can you do a video on how to update a corporate wardrobe? I worked in a formal corporate setting for years and I am having difficulty adjusting my wardrobe to the more casual style. I have tons of skirt suits, but only 2 pair of slacks, black and tan. I am in my 50s and still want to be stylish and relevant. I appreciate your input.

I like the convenience of belt bags, but when worn crossbody they look like you’re wearing a baby sling😂. They should stay around the waist or use a thin strap crossbody bag to keep the nice silhouette of your outfit. 2024 looks like a fun year, love the grays, gold metallic, leggings, matching sets in soft materials. great video as always !

You definitely giving me a checklist to make sure I got everything covered, it seems like I have. I just need a fresh look on some midi skirts in the basic color of black and khaki (going to try and grab them from Karen's drop coming soon). I am still loving the bum bag and the different ways of wearing them. Everything just look fashionable and so chic, this is my favorite season for fashion but also at the same time my least favorite because of the cold weather/grey skies and the gloom mood it gets me in. I been a little under the weather this week but when I have some energy have been grouping clothing so I can figure out what exactly I have to wear and what needs to be put into inventory to sale or DIY. Haha - no, to many of these as they are not particularly wearable for my body shape (belt bags, bombers, trousers under dresses all add bulk to parts of my body I don't want to highlight). But yes to long coats, denim, pinstripes and knee-high boots. Have all these already. Love.

Re: Belt bags. I'm all about a good cross-body bag, but the bulky bag with the short straps the way people are wearing them right now? Not a fan. It puts bulk right in the font of the body, where not very many of us need it. Lengthen the strap, wear it on the hip, show your shape more, and it works better.

I like the belt bag. Became a fan during the Pandemic. Love the more tailored look vs. oversized because I’m petite. I did the cardigan trick back as a kid in the 70s. I can wear more gold now than when I was raven haired in my youth. The grey has a blonde undertone to it now! 😂 I love dressed up leggings too! Full length coats are a must in my climate. As for denim, I wear different styles according to my day/ mood but it’s definitely a Staple. Oh Grey! Love it. Have so many grey pieces in my wardrobe…. Just scored a brilliant tailored blazer in grey wool by thrifting. Pin stripes- I have to lose a few pounds to get into those, but I love them and they do elongate. And knee high boots are my Kryptonite! Ha ha? Great content and I’m especially pleased as I have ALLLLLL OF THESE! 🤩🥂

I’ve bought and then sold three different belt bags! I can’t make them work for me. I am a bit busty, with more of an apple shape. They sit awkwardly on my body no matter which way I wear them. Love them on other people, but I can’t make them work for me, unfortunately. For hands free I have to use a back pack purse.

Ahhh that does make sense Janet - the one thing I find if you are a little busty is to make the strap as long as possible and they sit more like a cross boy bag. I do get that they can be difficult otherwise :(

I’m busty as well, I let my belt bag below my bust, crossbody style. If I wear it horizontally, I like it to sit on my hip versus smack dab in the middle. Play with the strap length and positions.

Yes, I'm sure. I got it in white. A white cashmere sweater with a hoodie is my dream sweater. It wasn't soft in my opinioin. Luckily I knew I wasn't having a moment when next I opened a Free People Wednesday open knit cashmere sweater. It was many (5?) times softer, cost $150. The lily silk didn't fit well either in my opinion. Returned Lily Silk and luckily didn't have to pay shipping becuase it was my first order but their return process is partially overseas takes time, not great communication. I won't shop there again, even though I do like some of their clothes on the website and on the KZbinrs who all market for them. I kept the Free People sweater, pretty much living in it, and it's been great. I bought Dryell dry cleaning kit last year, changed my life. But i've worn this free people sweater so many times it still smelled bad with dryell dry cleaning (I live in an urban area and am a clean freak). Label said, "hand wash" so I put the sweater into a lingerie washing bag, room temperature water, baking soda only, delicate cycle...success !

Grey marle, is when two, subtle different, coloured knits are combined. Also commonly referred to as melange ‘marle’ is a colour effect found in knitted fabrics, that doesn’t affect the texture of the fabric🌷

Oh dear, belt bags no thanks (although I did see one I liked in your examples), long coats no - unless you’re very tall. More leggings no!!! Trenches yes, never go out of style but oversized or long don’t suit most people. Same with bomber jackets, they do suit more people. Jumpers over shoulder yes, always had been a good look. Grey, good. Grey marle not so much but I will be glad if there’s are more grey around. It’s my neutral rather than camel or beige because of my colouring. Jeans I think wear what you like. My preference is for no distressing, just classic.
