Dalgona is actually a traditional Korean snack made from brown sugar (can be white) and baking soda. We melt the sugar in a special pot and then add baking soda and stir it until it becomes a syrup-like texture. We then place this paste on a flat surface and using a cookie cutter (or any other shape), we make it into cute shapes. Once it is hardened, we use a toothpick to 'cut' out the shape we made from the rest of the paste and the ultimate goal is to cut it out without ruining the shape! It's really fun to do and delicious! This coffee trend was named dalgona coffee because it both tastes a lot like the snack and also resembles it a lot!

okay so i tried this and chose the chocolate one. i took a small bowl with a spoon. then proceeded to take whipped cream from a can out of my fridge and used a decent amount. then i took chocolate syrup and drizzled it over top of the whipped cream. i used the spoon to mix it together then poured a glass of milk. then i spooned out the mixture and placed it in my glass to mix. it was soo good. the creaminess was very satisfying, much like how karina described it in this video. i hope some of you are able to try karina’s way or mine! if you choose to do mine pls let me know how it goes! :)

Ps. Red Velvet is NOT the same as chocolate. Red velvet has white vinegar, vanilla extract, butter AND plant oil as well as buttermilk in it which changes the flavor completely. Also, it has cream cheese frosting which chocolate cakes don't have. It tastes nothing like chocolate cake lol.

Red velvet is usually slightly less chocolatly than normal chocolate cake, sour cream is often used to counteract bitterness from the excessive food coloring, and there's lots of butteryness and vanilla... It's basically a creamier and more balanced chocolate experience that's tinted red to boot. Unless you're not american... I hear red velvet is fruit flavors in, like, Australia
