For anyone wondering about the thumbnail, a kid 'made a clock' via disassembling a clock, putting it in a briefcase to look like a homemade bomb, and the kid was middle eastern, so in otherwords he intentionally tricked people into thinking he made a bomb then played the victim. Seriously, look up a picture of the "Clock" that he "made" it's clearly a fake bomb.

My brother and I didn’t just get suspended we were expelled for riding our Harley Davidson’s through the school. It was the last straw according to the principal, so they let us transfer ourselves to another school and everything was hunky dory. That was until we went back to the school we were expelled from to let another kid know to leave a friend of ours alone or else. Well they called the police and our father and informed him that we were not supposed to be there, that’s when he found out that we had been expelled and was going to another school. Dad didn’t see the humor in the situation and pulled us out of school entirely, he then made us go to work in the family business, get our GED, and go to community college. We still laugh and joke about the things we did 40 years later, but times were different back then, you couldn’t get away with it now, and I still don’t know how we stayed out of jail.

Im 39 years old and quit saying the pledge of allegiance about halfway through first grade. It always felt creepy and wrong being forced to recite an oath to a flag everyday when the whole weird ritual meant nothing. As i grew and learned (most of what i learned was on my own, i hated school but i love to learn) the more creepy it is and the more i see how it helps to try and turn us into little trained monkeys... the whole thing should be trashed and done over. especially the bit they got added in the 50s to try and prove we were better than those godless commies.
@raylouis70139 ай бұрын
In the early 80s one of my cousins was in the US attending a US school, he refused to stand for the pledge of allegiance on the grounds he isn't an American citizen. He didn't get into trouble from the teachers but a few of the other boys decided to "teach him a lesson" and beat him up as he was trying to leave school one afternoon. The teachers stood back and watched. My aunt saw and apparently exploded verbally in such a way that everyone knew she was Australian and had an extensive knowledge of how to abuse the English language.....

You should stop making fun of your last name, Karl. Try living with my last name, Posthumus. Yes, it is exactly what you think. Spell check is forever telling me that I'm spelling it wrong. People are either laughing, thinking it's a joke, or asking me if I know what it means. It is not the luckiest of last names. For those reading this and are interested. My family is Dutch. Our Coat of Arms dates back to the 13th or 14th century, and the last name itself dates back to about the 12th century. So yeah, Karl, your last name is at least easy.

There was a kindergarten kid in York PA that was expelled for accidentally taking a pair of nail clippers to school. Nail clippers!!! The principal claimed it was a weapon. The expulsion was rescinded once the media got a hold of the story. In this area, there are awards, similar to the Oscars, for high school plays and musicals. We even have a lighting and sound director from Broadway come in for the musicals. $100 wouldn't pay for the janitorial staff let alone the entire productions. Do UK schools take special senior pictures like in the US? Here they're a big deal. Feel better!

20:05 Americans do in fact commonly have to wear uniforms to school . It’s not ALL public schools, and is more prominent in private schools but my brothers and sisters went to a different school than I did and they had to wear the same exact uniform outfit every day. However, I on the other hand, didn’t have uniforms until my junior year of Highschool where we had to abide by very loose uniform guidelines of having to wear a plain polo shirt of any color without graphics 👕 and khakis with no rips/tears. So while not in all American schools, it’s more common than you think, especially in bigger city high schools.

The whole hair controversy is real in parts of the US but not where I live, thankfully. If I had a kid that politely refused to stand or say the pledge I would support that, it is their right to. However, that kid that hacked and put up the image was fourteen, knew that sort of harassment was wrong. At fourteen he is nearly grown and if he were and adult, he would get at least five years in prison. As for the food fight, everyone involved would spend the rest of the day cleaning, much better lesson to teach than suspending or pressing charges.

I had to chuckle because in your intro you referred to the kid who got arrested for farting as a 10 year old (@1:22) while the segment title screen (I don't make videos and have no idea what things are called-sorry) said in big bold letters that he was 13 years old and then as you started to explain the story, there was a large picture of a local newspaper article about it (@2:20) that refers to the boy as 12. I realize none of this matters. It only made me chuckle because you explained early on how you were recovering from an illness and wasn't feeling very well, so when I saw 3 inconsistencies in the first 2 minutes or so, I thought it was funny, but not in a mean way.
