Great video but it's probably better to keep your bivy ventilated than isolated lol. Seriously though a great tip for using gas bivy heaters is to get a little carbon monoxide detector to put in your bivy, you can't be too careful.

Haha cheers Ben and yes I knew I would get picked up for the wrong word the millisecond after I said it but really couldn't cope with recording that segment again 😂

Nice tips mate thanks for sharing. Iv just watched a korda winter fishing guide video that gave absolutely no guide to winter fishing the whole video was just about advertising the liquid Goo.

Great thanks i'll keep an eye out for your upcoming videos and check your others too, no worries mate i have subscribed. Just another tip to add to your keeping warm tips i often take a hot water bottle with me rly makes a world of difference and re-boil the water every 6 or so hours, turns a freezing night into a toasty warm one.

How do you use a toastie maker in a bivvy 👋
@Mike335 жыл бұрын
You can buy from all different brands, ridgemonkey, tfgear etc but they are about £11 normally. Also I wouldn't personally use while inside the bivvy. Prefer not to cook inside but nothing stopping anyone doing this if you keep it ventilated.

@@Mike33 your bite time bit to will depend on wind light levels etc i always found mid afternoon best if i hadnt had a take between 12 n 2 pm that was it but still kept bait goin in . It was also depend on the water stock density n pressure one thing u missed was try to get a breathable base layer so it wicks moisture away feom the skin if u sweat in cheap thermals u will get cold

Agreed can be affective. As we know they dont always stay on the bottom so certainly something to be considering.
@xBillyKx69x5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t advise a bivvy heater there has been deaths because of carbon monoxide poisoning like you say get a base layer and other warm clothes Marino wool socks too, get a 5 season sleeping bag YES it does make a difference if your still cold and not enjoying it pack up go home and fish when it’s warmer. DONT buy a bivvy heater
@Mike335 жыл бұрын
I guess it comes down to personal opinion with them. Base layers like i mention is essential either way but deaths of them are caused by people not taking appropriate precautions when using them. Those who have them just need to make sure its ventilated.
@Mike335 жыл бұрын
5 season sleeping bag is a must I agree (covered on another video). Lots to choose from and very cost effective.
