Robin Lehner and Thomas Greiss are playing out their minds. Last year the team SV% was .903 this year it's .927. Goals for are down as well, the Isles went from 3.18 GPG last year to 2.73 GPG this year. Lehner and Greiss both playing Vezina calibre is why the Isles are up there. Hope they can maintain it otherwise the season goes very differently.

I'm not a NYI or Leafs fan at all (Lightning actually), but I've seen them play very tough against Tampa (1 of the few teams to really slow down that offense). Just an outside observer finding it interesting how the Islanders seem to be doing more with less (compared to last year), and Toronto seems to be doing about the same with more. As for the Islanders goaltending, their goaltending is very solid, but I think Barry Trotz's defensive emphasis plays a large part as well. I've seen only 6 or 8 Islanders games this year, so just not sure how much of it is goaltending, how much is defense.

I was born and raised in Minnesota. The Bundeslige is great but my heart, when it come to sports, is still in Minnesota. It has been seriously painful over the last 28 years. The Vikings are constantly toiling with our emotions. They come out with great seasons only to choke in the NFCCG. Then when you think they have a team the next season, 1999 & 2018, they end up letting you down. The only bright spot has been the WNBA with four titles from the Minn Lynx.

The fact the national media doesn’t even realize our pain is worse too. Like what sports city in Americas top 4 leagues hasn’t seen their team win/compete for the title in the last 26 years. I will wait. Can’t tell me. You could say Buffalo or San Diego but they don’t have the big 4 teams. Only Minnesota. Two relocations with the Stars and Lakers, 4 Super Bowls, 10 NFC championship games, we’re desperate. Love the Midwest we’ve been through a lot and we’re a good community.

Arkansas is the worst. We have NOTHING but act like we should win everything, so what do we do? WE ADOPT! Who are our pro sports teams? Dallas Cowboys. St. Louis Cardinals. Dallas Stars. And Houston Rockets. And when they lose, we adopt other teams! Saints, Blues, Astros, & Spurs. No titles? FINE, we'll just keep adding to the FAMILY. Manchester United, Puerto Rico Olympic basketball team, Americas Cup Champ New Zealand, & the ENTIRE Swedish Bikini swimsuit team. WE DON"T SUFFER LOSERS!

The satisfaction of never being on this list, Why? Because no one remembers us despite having 0 NBA championships (all in the ABA) and only one Super Bowl (the other one was still in Baltimore.) Despite having Peyton. Just realizing that I was going to comment my thanks for everyone forgetting us again but ended up on a rant. Oh well. Go Blue!
