Watsons is by far the worst because he absolutely ruined the prospects of any full guaranteed contracts for any other QB. Not only was he overpaid, he fucked it up for everyone else moving forward. His contract was so bad that it didn't even reset the market. Everyone thst signed a deal after him didn't get fully guaranteed deals.

While all the others have solid evidence that they were the wrong move, TPS itself basically admits this entry is entirely based on speculation and assumption (basically "he's declined a tiny bit, so clearly he's about to fall off a cliff"). There's plenty of actual bad contracts out there, you really don't have to manufacture one. Besides, it's not a massive guarantee contract where they're locked in, if he does start to decline they can get out of it without too much cap trouble.

I think some bad contracts just come down to terrible timing. Von Miller, for instance, if they'd gotten 2021 Miller the contract would've been maybe a slight overpay but nothing anyone's losing sleep over. But then you throw in the injury and it's a disaster. (Same thing happened with my Packers and David Bakhtiari -- a contract that no one would've thought twice about had he stayed healthy turned into a major burden because he got injured at the worst possible time.) Others, though, were bad ideas from the start. Both the Jones and Watson contracts, just to name a few, are clear cases where teams panicked and overpaid a guy when they would've been better off just accepting losing him and going in a different direction.

I kinda think this channel fell off a bit due to the rise of guys like Grossi and Perna who invest their personality into their videos. No disrespect, but the smooth announcer voice with no face and minimal distinguishing branding and list-dominated content make the whole deal feel like a bland corporate content farm, like WatchMojo. Sure at the time it looked terrible but then the past two years of the qb market happened. Trevor Lawrence though that’s a terrible contract.
