I can personally vouche the Issey Miyake... I remember my dad and I wearing it back in the early 2000s and it had fantastic performance. Just like CH 212 Men, both have been added to the reformulation graveyard.

Jimmy Choo Man Intense, smells great but performance is horrible, it's completely gone in 1-2 hours, not even a skin scent 😟 I actually get decent longevity with AdG Pour Homme. Solid 6-8 hours. Projection is pretty weak though...

YSL Y EDT & YSL L'homme EDT. Received both as gifts and I had to overspray to make sure they lasted ONE HOUR of projection. I've owned body sprays that lasted longer and projected more than those two.

Luckily Armani came with Profumo which improved the original and is a best seller. If John Varvatos, Jimmy Choo and Clinique made EDP proper performance beasts of their scents they would rack in the cash because their stuff legit smell nice.

For me DHS2017 is not bad, I can smell it after 8h. Of course it's not very loud, but for freshy it's OK. For me don't work Guerlain Ideal EDP at all (though smell is impessive good). Also reformuralted Mugler Pure Malt very poor... Versace Pour Homme... HB Tonic very very bad... CK One Shock it's a joke (maybe also reformulated)... And yes, very pitty that reformulated CH Men Prive not perform well, because I love it's smell.

I have an onder batch of L'eau Dissey pour homme and it last 9 hours+ (not exaggerating) and is one of the longest lasting citrus fragrances I have, I have tried the newer formulation and they changed everything, not only the longevity is bad now but also the scent itself has been changed.

Check out the Eau Fraiche version of L'eau d'Issey for better performance. Seems counterintuitive, but the spices in that sucker really push through. You won't get the florals, but at least you'll get noticed.

Sadly you are correct , most of these have poor performance. I somehow get pretty good performance and sillage with GPH2 without it being offensive or overbearing , it's my go to for whenever I fly. Great list! p,s and yeah, sadly they now butchered DHS which I use to love :(

Encre Noire Sport, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Essence Aromatique, Lacoste Jaune L.12.12, Lalique Equus, Banana Republic 78 Vintage Green all perform poorly on my skin. Which is a shame since I very much enjoy (with the exception of Equus) the scents!

Original l'eau d'issey lasts forever and projects but smells like an citrus house cleaning mess, my 3 choices are a bit strange 1. Oud wood TF 2. Tom Ford for men 3. Ysl La nuit de l'homme all have excellent longevity more thann8 hours but poor projection

Great video Dallas. I can't make up my mind whether a fragance can be considered good and worth rebuying, despite piss poor longevity / projection. I will go ahead and say pass on those but I personally have an exception to that rule: Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte. This is just a beautiful scent I can't live without. How long does it last on my skin? 49 minutes. It's also worth noting that there are some fragances that were once beast and now are dwarfs. First to come to mind: CH for men and Dolce Gabbana Pour Homme. They sure aren't what they used to be. Such a shame that Gucci II does not project. It is so lovely and unique.

Boss Bottled Infinite and Intense EDP, Gucci Made to Measure, Burberry Touch, CH Men Prive, La Nuit de L'homme Intense and Tom Ford Fleur de Portofino Acqua. Really sad because I actually like all of those, expect maybe Burberry Touch, it's ok. Especially Boss Bottled Infinite and Gucci Made to Measure. Boss Bottled Infinite is actually pretty different in the drydown and most people over look it. If it was a bit louder and lasted atleast 6 hours I would be happy with it but you pretty much have to go 10 sprays on it for it to still be a little too soft. Gucci Made to Measure smells awesome but it's pretty much a skin scent off the bat for about 4 hours.

My worst performing fragance it is called Polo Red, and it was bought to me as a gift on the first batch (2013) and from day one it sucked, projects nothing at 1st hour and it lasts 3 to 4 hrs max...Such a shame because i really liked it. i wore it on winter evenings as is is supposed to perform better, but it doesn`t. in this comunity I have been told about the intense version performing great but no thanks...

Worst performing fragrance on me has to be Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme (the black bottled). Last on the skin for a good 4-5h but with no projection whatsoever after 30 mins. I guess that and the newest formulation of ADG both, but I don't own a bottle of ADG anymore so I don't count it in

Considering the lack of tea based fragrances at the designer level and the fact it is based around tea you kinda just have to accept it as the only real tea fragrance at this point unless you wanna shell out some real money for L'Artisan Tea for Two or Atelier Philtre Ceylon which aren't projectors either it's a fact of the note imho

I can't wear aqua digio with my body chemistry it stunk. I always felt like I was sour and sweaty. I loved it on other people though. It was frustrating for a while but i have since learned get over it. One works for someone but it doesn't work for you. Gotta accept it.

My manager wears issey miyake and it lasts. And it projects HEAVY I can smell him from all the way across my office . i don’t think that the scent is even dated I just wouldn’t wear it because everyone knows the smell.

Givenchy Pour Homme Silver. Truly bad. One of the most wonderful fragrances I have. Lasts 13 hrs+ for skin scent. But barely noticeable the entire time.

Bvlgari Man Black Santos de Cartier (latest batch ) the worst of all , about 30 min later and scent just vanishes. Guerlain Homme “Intense “ (batch code 4X01) I’m using “intense” deliberately because of the worst performing scent I’ve ever had , even reapplying won’t work at all !!!

I can always appreciate a great Battle Tested list video. Thank you sir! Worst Performers for me personally have been Jimmy Choo Man Intense, Dylan Blue, John Varvatos Vintage. Honorable mention is Creed's Aventus.......only because I can't smell it on me after the first hour (olfactory fatigue) and if I can't smell it then it is no fun for me. (others still can smell it on me tho). Creed's MI lasts about 6 hrs for me, but I'm ok with that, as I usually wear that only in the daytime and like to be able to switch to a night frag afterwards.

Nicely done! I often take the fragrance I'm wearing with me so I can refresh...even the longer lasting ones. Performance really hasn't been that much of an issue because of that...sometimes the opposite is the case, I overspray the performers! I love Clinique, bought it when it first came out in the late 90's. It seemed to perform well then...but it is definitely a poor performer. Dior Homme Cologne is awesome, but it doesn't last long either...spray away!

Dan Johnson I love DHC and my issue is that the opening citrus freshness doesn’t last but the base musk does. So when I refresh I usually feel like I end up overloaded on somewhat unpleasant musk.

Essay Miyaki was very disappointing as it lasts on my skin no more than 2 hours. My wife didn't like it anyways so it was pretty mucj of a waste though i like the scen. BDC perfomance is also not good at all! actually i am wearing it now i sprayed it on my shirt and after 4 hours the smell is almost gone!

Jimmy Choo Blue is literally the worst performing fragrance that I ever put on (unless its an Eau De Cologne fragrance). Urban Hero is pretty damn close too... I wouldn't recommend picking that up unless its a sample only.
