This is why I find Namor to be such an interesting character. He really only cares about his people (and sort of himself), making it possible that he’ll do any number of things in his stories.

He does what others refuse, he serves his own people and for that it’s respectful

Ahhh the Black Adam of the Marvel Universe. Not in terms of powers and abilities, but in terms of personality traits

@@jms7265 Preciate you my guy, I'll take a look if I hadn't seen them already it JUST annoys me how fans loved Adam but critiques Shhhit on it. And I proposed this, what if Johnson was casted as Emperius Rex in an MCU Movie would you give him the same blowback 😂😂???

Namor did not first appear in FF. He was Marvel's first Super hero back in the 30s

Imperius Rex! Namor is Roman spelt backwards which is why he uses this phrase.

I actually never realised that.

1:06 no, Namor started off being an atlantean ruler fighting the nazis, the landdwellers and the (very first) human torch (AKA Marvel's very frist superhero) all the way back in 1939. He's one of the oldest characters of Marvel, just like the original Human Torch, Captain America, the original Angel, the Patriot (who became Captain America and got killed by Red Skull once he found out this Cap wasn't Steve), Ka-Zar, Toro, Vision (who looked like White Vision but was an interdimensional traveler instead of a Synthozoid) and Bucky. The Fantastic Four came *decades* after Namor. Edit: 6:00 once again, no. Namors debut wasn't in 1962, it was 1939. But then again, you'rve half right, he had his issue with surface/ land dwellers ever since.

I’m confident that he’ll surpass this.

If I was Reed I’d toss him in the Negative Zone. Also why doesn’t Reed have like a power suit or just give himself some powers?

3:56 - This whole thing was an ode to toxic masculinity. I know the term might be overused nowadays, but I can't think of any other way to put it. Hell, at 4:50, the images seemed to indicate that Sue did enjoy it. This was a real example of "What the hell, Marvel?!"

Namor and Sue did end up getting together in one of the alternate universe stories where her and read broke up and got a divorce once the kids were grown up. I'm not entirely sure but I think they wound up getting back together it was when they were all older

I believe Namor could be described as being a chaotic neutral. He acts entirely on his own interests, both political and personal. He will ally himself with anyone who will help him achieve his goals, and oppose anyone who will hinder his his progress to achieving those goals.
@TheGamingCrow Жыл бұрын
I know Namor from his first debut in 1939, in Marvel Entertainment (the comic book series). Chaotic neutral would implement there's no plan in the universe or for anything at all. Namor instead makes his own plans, regardless and ruthless of agreements, aliances or disagreements. He's got his own agenda ever since and is willing to put everything at risk to achieve it, wether it's his kingdom, his people or just himself (he was willing to sacrifice his own people, as was shown in this video). He fought Jim Hammond when they first met, then allied himself with him and fought him again to reach his private goals, but never is really willing to forget about his roots, following protocols and obeys gthe laws (some of which he made by himself, since he's the king of atlantis). That's more like a lawful evil alignment.
