I feel like one way to make flipping the advantage work would be if the heel team started out with a monster on their side and you had the story of the babyfaces needing the numbers advantage just to be able to keep pace. Freshening up the formula without completely disrupting the match's psychology. This is kinda what the women's 2020 match did with Raquel Gonzalez but they didn't really commit to it by having her start. Still the match was fun and showed that the concept can work.

Highly disagree on the 2021 Women's match, I had a lot of fun watching it, very awesome babyface showing for Jade working with the injury and still getting the win for her team. Worst part about number one is that to get the warrior in the ring with the smoke they had a little trap door in the ring and some of the wrestlers weren't told about it including the British bulldog who Landed on the trap door during his match and messed his back up forever leading to his painkiller addiction

What makes the 98 War Games a bit more disappointing is the rumored original plan for that War Games match. Apparently, original plans called for it to be nWo Wolfpac versus nWo Hollywood with the losing nWo being forced to disband. The rumored teams would’ve been Nash/Sting/Luger/Konnan versus Hogan/Hart/Ray/Hall.

I honestly don’t think that the Women’s WG match was that bad. It certainly was nowhere even close to as bad as ANY of the other ones on this list. And I like Cora Jade getting the shine. I think the issue with the advantage thing (at least in WWE’s minds) is that it gets very contrived that the heels ALWAYS end up with the advantage every single time. It feels forced.

The NXT 2.0 Woman's War Games was actually very good. Cora's selling was great, made for an engaging story and it had the most logical payoff. Plus if your issue is work rate, you have Io, Kay Lee Ray and Raquel. Also, the heels constantly getting the advantage, yea, makes sense from a reaction standpoint but also slaps you in the face with the fact that it's planned, whereas allowing the face to sometimes win gives it more of the feeling of a real sport where you can't just predict who wins based on their alignment. They made up for it by having Cora get taken out and having the heels gang up on her.

The NXT Women's match should not be that high on the list. I'd put it in the bottom three, DEFINITELY lower than the Bischoff match. The only thing that felt weird for me was the crowd shifted to support Gigi specifically. Otherwise, most of the crowd was split over Toxic Attraction, which wasn't a surprise at the time since they were doing great work. 🤷‍♂️ The match definitely wasn't "bad". Just odd at times, and not necessarily great.

I completely disagree with the assesment of the nWo Vs Team WCW War Games match. I think that match is actually one of the better entries in the history of the match. Great build, exciting story progression, and I understand if you prefer faster paced matches and action, but to say that the action in the 96 War Games was boring or plodding I think is just not true. Sure there's no blood, which does take the edge off a little bit, but the action in the match was really good, it all made sense, felt like a fight from underneath for the good guys, and it all built nicely to the conclusion of the match and everything that happened with Sting. Not every match needs to be a blood bath or a spot heavy car crash.

Thank you for putting the Women's War Games 2021 match on this list. I've seen people praise this match as a brilliant and shocking masterpiece, but... no, it violates every tenet of booking Wargames matches. Giving the FACES the advantage and then having the HEELS win? Way to bury the entire face team.
