I seriously think Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey could have worked if they did 4 things: 1) Liv doesn’t cash in on the same night she won Money in the Bank and (like RVD in 2006) announces her cash in at Summerslam 2) The storyline is that Liv wants a fair match to prove she not only deserves the briefcase but also the belt 3) The match goes longer than 4 minutes 4) Liv doesn’t tap out and fights through the pain of Rousey’s arm bar to get the pin I think these decisions would have properly built up the match, kept Liv as a babyface underdog, made the victory a lot better, and not made the fans turn on her.

To be fair with Roman vs Goldberg, 6 minutes is longer than most of Goldberg's matches during his streak back in WCW. And Roman did said he's going to "Goldberg" Goldberg, as in he's gonna squash Bill. Just imagine back in those days we cheered for sub-6 minute squash matches

Secondly, she was over with the fans. They constantly turn on things and that’s the fault of the fans and then Vince deciding to hot shot the title win for a shock factor at MITB didn’t help.

For me, the worst match of the year was The New Day Vs. The Brawling Brutes at WrestleMania XXXVIII. It was originally on Night 1 before being moved to Night 2, so it was clearly not high on WWE's list of priorates. Plus it was a squash match with the wrong result. This match took place a few weeks after Big E's injury. Plus, Woods and Kingston came out in singlets in tribute to Big E. Perhaps I'm making too big a deal out of this, but this match stung hard for me.

So I do my own ranking system for WWE and I have certain, somewhat flexible, rules on how to do it. The Liv Morgan-Ronda Rousey was the most difficult match to determine how it affects the rankings. I went with Liv Morgan Neutral (still champion but basically got squash) and Ronda Rousey plus 1 (plus 2 for basically a squash and the post-match attack but minus 1 for not being champion).
