It’s easier to put your foam tape round the circle die it you remove both backings then it easily goes round the circle . Lovely card inspiration to try . Thank you .

L O V E D your tutorial on ALL these fabulous cards, Ann! Regarding the masking paper problem, I’m sure you may have come up with a similar idea after the camera was off, but - at o.d. 31:00 (+/-) - when the masking paper damaged the TOP layer, my thought was to sandwich it in between the card base and an ADDITIONAL TOP LAYER to hide the damage. Our efforts are to precious NOT to salvage whenever possible!
