Rey was the whole reason I got into WWE in the first place. I didn't get into WWE cause people were telling me Eddie or Benoit were making the world light on fire or that Cena and Batista were badasses. It was because Rey Mysterio was the most fun and most heartwarming superstar I've ever seen in my life of the little guy overcoming all odds in a big man's world. The Royal Rumble and WM22 win are still my personal favourite moments in all WWE.

This list really makes you see the 2000s were stacked with talent. There are so many names I was surprised wasn’t on the list, but, at the same time, I can’t find a name to take off the list, either. Every decade has an incredible roster of stars, WWE TV isn't quite as good as it was back in the day not because of the talent, it's just that the business has shifted gears so much in order to survive, that it's drastically different from what most of us grew up and love. Gone are the days where shows were more so improved than the are scripted. Gone are the days of the bloody, brutal and graphic matches (but lets be fair here. This is for the wrestlers own protection too. Just be happy you were alive to see it when it was live and the norm, but even I have to agree, this had to go.) Besides, even if WWE tried that same formula today, it wouldn't work nearly as well. This is the decade where everyone knows that practically everything is a work. --WWE knows we know. So they have to play towards that. If they didn't it would just legit make them look stupid. --they don't look that great right now, and that's not an excuse either of course. But the 90's, and 2000s was great Pro Wrestling Entertainment. Now, the show legit just feel like its for young kids. And that's fine too.

I don't think any decade was consistently good, like especially the 1990s wasn't very good for years before '97 came around and sorta turned that around. But the 2000s for me was probably WWE's best decade in terms of putting on an actual good wrestling product. And if RAW wasn't good at the moment, chances are SmackDown was.

It had some great stuff but a lot of really shitty angles and gimmicks, and Owen's death which remains the most reckless and terrible thing to ever happen in that ring. 2009's second half wasn't good for RAW, but the first half was solid, and SmackDown was good during that year. 2008 for me was actually one of the better years WWE has ever had, I'd list why but this comment would be way too long to read.

@Chuck Buskee The WWE/WWF around 1998-2002 appealed to the lowest common denominator and, as a result, got a ton of fans. It was a fad. I know, I was very young but I lived it. As a turn your brain off entertainment thing it was amazing. As an actual wrestling product? Ruthless Aggression was the peak. It wasn't excess like that earlier period was and you had a better chance of getting something like HBK Vs Shelton on a typical RAW than those 3 minute Russo things they called matches.

It's crazy, most wrestlers lose their quality as they got older but once Undertaker was put in a more common main event position and allowed to wrestle at his best, he put on multiple classics in his 40s. With John Cena in the spotlight, Taker was the darkness surrounding it as I believe they were both the biggest draws for wrestling during this time.
