@@WaylonMoone no doubt it. Feels like no matter how over someone is in WWE, they just won't get the backing from higher ups. It's sad that WWE devolved into this mindset. While sponsorship deals and a major TV and multi talent wide merch deals are helping keep the lights on, it's bit the same knowing you lose popular individuals that turn people away and hope to stick with the routine watchers (those watching due to habit). There are some gems still there, but it's definitely harder than before to make them shine bright long term.

Man, Cody Rhodes' journey is one heck of a journey. He wanted to find success elsewhere, and he did just that, but then started building a now very successful empire from scratch, alongside Tony Khan and The Elite. The amount of time, dedication and hard work this must have taken is worth more than any success he could have found anywhere in the world. Dusty would be proud.

Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) also belongs here, he was used absolutely horribly in wwe. (Need I mention the zeb colter incident?) Dude is a giant and a very talented wrestler with a good niche for the most part, he would've been a great fit for the longest reigning U.S. champion but instead he got fed to Rusev, who was then fed to good ol super cena and now neither of them are in the company anymore. Thankfully he's doing much better in aew and mma.

The one thing that all of these departures have in common is the WWE creative team. You would think that something would've changed by now considering that a lot of former WWE wrestlers expressed their disdain for the creative team and that was their reason for leaving.
