The hulk one was probs the coolest just the way it happened kinda mid match and the heel babyface swap midmatch was just cool as hell I'd never seen anything like that. The guys were so pro they understood it right away fair play to the Rock. Obviously none of us fans like Terry because we now know about his backstage politics and how horrible and selfish he was. And as a kid I was never into him at all. Always an anti hero guy Undertaker and Kane best by far. Stone Cold up there too. Ultimate Warrior worst wrestler/person/gimmick ever. Just a coke head coking out lol

I never watched wrestling back then. I was 1 after all lol But Im sooooo glad i lived through the attitude era 1997/98/99 my god. If you weren't around then you just cant ever understand it. If you only started watching wrestling like after that had blown over you can watch all the reruns on the network but you had to LIVE it. It was mainstream in a way it never will be again. Like all your teachers new what a stone cold stunner was lol everyone at school watched it. Now it's a tiny few wrestling nerds. It can never been the same in the modern day with internet and how much the business has been exposed etc.

Undertaker didn't quite fully revert to the American Badass persona, but it was mixed with his Supernatural Deadman and bits of his irl self, which was called "The Unholy Trinity". It was more of a one time celebration of all the aspects of The Undertaker character before his official retirement.

Obviously my #1 has to be Undertaker for sure. I mean, what an amazing career in general, but I really didn't love The American Badass as much as I did the OG Taker, and when he finished things out and retired as the OG Undertaker I absolutely LOVED it. Hands down one of the very best wrestlers and gimmicks I've ever had the privilege of watching live and on TV.

While the American badass persona wasn't bad , it felt somewhat generic and lacked that special spark. However, when he came back with his Undertaker persona during WrestleMania XX, it was absolutely awesome. In my opinion, that entrance is probably one of the best in WWE history

Legendary but very outdated. A character like that wouldn't work very well if done today, not without some tweaks to modernize it. The Hollywood Hogan character on the other hand has surprisingly has stood the test of time and would work just as well today as it did in 96.

Supposedly, the main reason Kevin Nash returned to WWE from TNA in 2011 was because he was promised he would be allowed to revive Diesel gimmick. Since then, he has expressed dissatisfaction over this not happening except for just one night. That was the reason he dyed his grey hair black.

The Cameras didn't do justice how loud the Pop for Diesel was. The fans at 2011 Royal Rumble LOST IT, That was as loud as when Brock Lesnar returned in the clip with John Cena. Nash is greatly loved in WWE, and to see Diesel back, even for just the 1 time was absolutely priceless. Wish that we got to see 2011 Nash and Diesel in more WWE 2K Games!!!

Nash coming back as Diesel for a Royal Rumble makes sense. Royal Rumble 1994 was basically his coming out party. He didn't win thanks to his early entry and other wrestlers (including his ally at the time HBK) teaming up to eliminate him but he had a dominant performance. Even though he was heel the fans cheered him as he cleared the ring and eliminated one guy after another, both faces and heels.

Interestingly taker apparently didn’t want to go back to his deadman persona in 2004 as he thought it wouldn’t work and he just wanted to be himself so taker and vince agreed that if the match flopped and the fans weren’t happy taker would immediately go back to his American badass gimmick so there was a chance we could have never seen the deadman again but luckily we did and to be honest it was probably for the best as by 2004 people where getting tired of the American badass gimmick and wanted the old undertaker back
