@@conniecarroll7222 My favorite Hogan claim is that he wrestled 400 *days* (not matches) a year. Apparently jetting back and forth across the International Date Line to put on matches in Japan (matches that no one else remembers taking place) added 35 days to his year. Somehow. I get that wrestlers want to build themselves up but that is the stupidest claim I've ever heard anyone make. I always hear that narrative that Austin would have done business with Lesnar had the match been hyped up and built to, but by the time Austin came back he went and worked with The Rock again, all that time easily could have been used to finally get that fresh matchup with Lesnar and have a build for it. It would have been a great storyline move, and similar to Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and The Rock you would add another name that would go over Hogan in Randy Orton. However, it was WWE’s call on this one, and they CHOSE to bring Hogan back for this storyline with Orton. Supposedly his wellness policy violation sealed his fate here, more so than Hogan’s star power.

I was a Hulk Hogan fan in the early 80s but then after a few years just got sick of the guy - his matches were always the same: he does a little offense... then the heel starts to win... the heel pretty much has him beat and it looks like Hogan is going to lose... then he "Hulks Up" and shakes his head "no" and points to the heel... two to three moves later its time for the big leg drop... and Hogan wins. The first few times you saw that as a little kid was cool... but after dozens and dozens of times I started to root for the heels to finally beat him.

I think the funniest one was Hogan trying to back stage politic Michaels, who's former experiences with The Clique gave him PLENTY of backstage politicking experience, and Michaels was able to out politic Hogan with brilliant promos, a temporary heel run that also took advantage of his perpetual heel heat in Montreal and Canada in general, and his comedic overselling, something he was very good at as he'd done a lot of that in the 90s but had eased off on that nonsense in his 2nd run, except for Hogan. Hogan changed the finish of the match with Sting. The original plan was for the ref to do a quick count which would lead to Bret running out and restarting the match. Hogan told the ref to count the pin fall at normal speed, which he did. So in the end he made Sting look bad and Bret a fool. Speaking of the Hitman he deserves an honorable mention on this list.

The one where he made The Undertaker legitimately believe he botched a move should've been added here. The Undertaker was making a name for himself in the early 90s and Hulk Hogan felt threatened by that, so he acted out as if The Undertaker failed to make the move safe. Knowing how The Undertaker is when it comes to being one of safest wrestlers to work with in the ring, that hurt him so much back stage. After the fact, it shows what a big jerk Hogan truly is. Apparently, that wasn't the first nor last time he does something like that to a fellow wrestler in order to ruin careers. What was done to Rick Rude was total butcher. He had a great heel persona and character development, but between Hogan and the way the company shortened his career, he didn't went far. Hogan felt so threatened by the other wrestlers that he even took over Randy Savages' funeral spotlight and Hall of Fame award ceremony.... WHO DOES THAT!?! 🤢 Damn! Can't even uplift a friend who was all about uplifting others. Can't even be humble at a funeral!!!! That made me hate Hogan and it takes a lot for me to hate a person. I'm surprised you didn't gave this a mention. It actually made sense he killed the Legend Killer... No one kills more careers than Hulk Hogan has. That is his legacy.

@@deepblue8143 Half right. People were still under the kayfabe aspect that Hogan the character was Terry Bollea turned up to 10 which wasn't the case. The Hogan image was ruined after his politicking was exposed and he made that comment about his daughter's black boyfriend using the racial slur. From that day on, Hogan the character and showman gets the props of making sports entertainment mainstream. It's disappointing to see a hero to many get exposed on his ways behind the scenes to remain on top. Same with Chris Benoit. We love how he can go in the ring and is inspiration to take intensity and combine with technical wrestling. We hate him as a human being for not taking responsibility of his mental health even if it meant he could've been potentially fired. I'd rather have him fired for taking care of his health than the actual disgusting situation that played out.

@@DaylinThaGemini personally, whom give’s a rat’s a** about politicking? For starters, you’re basing this horse crap off the testimony of professional wrestlers, whose are certified BS artists. You don’t know these people…they’re not your friends, they’re not mine. But here’s a newsflash that’s the world of sports and entertainment in general. Not just Hogan, now the racial epithets are a legitimate thing to take umbrage with, and that stuff isn’t conjecture, he said those things he said and he didn’t deny it when he got exposed. How he handled things after, I can’t say because even when the apology he made in 2018 wasn’t reported properly as some details such as Titus O’Neill storming out of the building was denied to have really happened. Bottom line, the Pro Wrestling rumor mill is garbage and a sad place to formulate your opinions.
