I don't get why people are always surprised when wrestlers turn out to be complete pieces of shit behind the scenes. They're wrestlers. How many of these shoot interviews do you have to watch about violence, backstabbing, hardcore alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual assault, etc before it clicks? A famous wrestler being a decent person is the exception, not the norm. Most of the good guys never make it past the midcard because they're not willing to play the game.

The way I always interpreted it was that they worked with Ryker and was around them a lot more than you and I were. The Trump stuff was just an excuse considering some of the other top stars in WWE at the moment (Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes himself, and not a star but commentator Pat McAfee) are Trump supporters and they got along well with KO, Sami and Ali.
