Just have to come back to this page after watching "Pau cam" at Ufest Phoenix 2023. Today is 7th May 2023. Most people think that explosive fills make a great drummer. They miss out how intelligently Pau defines the verses of a song with subtle strokes & thoughtfully constructed drum patterns so that nothing is repetitive. On top of that she is singing lead vocals passionately while executing complicated fills on her toms. A very rare talent with a powerful rock voice. Add to that - the fact she is controlling their live shows with her laptop & MIDI pedals. - her ability to tug at our hearts when she emotes her songs on her keyboard with extreme passion. That's something to behold. Her soulful ballads are classics across ages. - her sprightly energetic singing as a front woman on those rare occasions when she is freed from her drum kit. An Energizer Bunny on Red Bull, if you like. And finally she is one of the most intellectual poet, composer & songwriter to emerge in decades. Her metaphors outlining the inherent message of almost every song from The Warning are worth so many laurels. What a multi-faceted multitasking musical genius!!! We are privileged to watch her grow into a legend.

She was excited because this was the 2nd take. After performing flawlessly in the 1st one the team discovered that one of the cameras had stopped recording. Little Pau broke down immediately. Mony had to come down to this basement studio to pacify her inconsolable daughter and get her ready for another try {we can see Mony's feet in the mirror}. In other words, Pau played a Cobus version twice in quick succession. Now that's talent.

I'm a life long AC/DC, Led Zep, Bad Co, Foghat, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, Stones, Who and so it goes fan! They are on my list, after 3 days, with these legends of Rock music. @@rosemaryhopkins8525 Interestingly their Teatro Metropolitan concert on 29th August 2022 showed that the girls are as good without the click. When Pau came out to front the band during Narcisista her teacher, the Latin Grammy nominated drummer Beto Ramos, got behind the kit. The Warning had to rearrange this song to accommodate his solo in the middle. This implied that their regular click track wasn't used. We can see Pau's left Inearz monitor hanging over her shoulder. So Beto, Ale, Dany & Pau played live an improvised version of Narcisista based on their biological clocks & pulled it off as if they were on metronome. That's talent.

Huge “The Warning” fan myself and having seen Genesis 3 times, including their first concert after Gabriel left and Bill Bruford on support, Pau is in a class of her own! Collins was up front when singing and rarely played while singing at those shows. Please include Gil Moore of Triumph in your list of drummers. The new remastered version of their ‘83 concert, with Gil opening and closing their set (prior to Ozzie’s performance) is still one of my favourite concert videos.

As a drummer myself, I can see the thought processes she's going through to be able to hit everything. To be that talented at 10...I wasn't even remotely that good at 10. I see her now with the Enter Sandman video and her latest stuff like Choke and Evolve it's clear she was always one of the most talented drummers of this time. Watching her over and over and over again. I came across this video just browsing KZbin sometime ago. I like watching young artists. There are hundreds of them. Many are called prodigies. And I guess some are. But prodigy is thrown around quite a bit. You see them doing covers from classical music to rock. But that's as far as many go. Many go on to orchestras and playing at certain events. But even though they have a special god given talent they don't have a spark. This little girl does. When I saw her I just fell in love. Then when I saw her sisters I fell in love with them too. It's just not their musical talent. Thousands have the same talent or better. But there's something about them. It's like I loved Elvis too. Elvis had something special about him. These three girls have it too. Elvis had charisma. These girls have subtle charisma.
