I met Saxon Weiss at the recent Dallas Guitar Show. He is an incredible young guitarist who told me he studies classical, jazz and Eric Johnson. If fact, Saxon was playings Eric's jazz song "Manhattan" at the Texas Vintage booth when, guess who walks in? Yes, Eric Johnson. Eric was so impressed that he dedicated "Manhattan" in his show the next day to Saxon. Saxon's parents are very supportive of his talents and I feel quite certain that we will be hearing a lot about Saxon during the next few decades.

This was a fun interview! Thank you! Just stumbled on his cover of The Wind after seeing the movie The Holdovers, then saw he has a KZbin account. I'll be watching his progress. Saxon mentioned Christopher Parkening...I saw him in '83 or '84 in a little town close to Atlanta...truly life-changing! Tried to get him to come to a small college close to Charlotte about '99, but he'd stopped performing. He teaches at Pepperdine in CA and I follow a couple of his former students on IG. Big Clapton, Petty and Prince fan, as well. Excited to watch your progress, Saxon.
