What was the need to have a khiraut where everybody was clearly laughing and chatting away in a room next to where a dua for a death in the Saleh Khana community is taking place??? Wheres the respect??? Could the khiraut not have took place elsewhere or even at a later date. Its not a nice look for people stuffing their faces with food especially when theres a new bereavement in the next room. Embarassing people!

Khatam was planned, so ppa was pre booked, as for death, ppa can't be pre booked as no one knows when ones soul is going to get taken out, I didn't see or hear any men from the death side complain about it

Qur'an khathams don't benefit the dead one bit. Disrespecting the Qur'an by chatting away is absolutely crazy. Only 3 things- Beneficial knowledge, duas of righteous children and sadqah jariya. Read the Qur'an to benefit yourselves and ponder, act and implement what Allah says in the Qur'an.

This is true, it's a cultural thing not an Islamic thing
