As a Swede I have to commend you on your pronunciation of Konung. Perfect job! To jest mój Janosik!

Heeey, Drakan! Played the heck out of that game, loved the ability to (seemingly) free roam the areas, find secret areas with magical weapons and so forth. One of Psygnosis' last great games

They (Psygnosis) had a knack for making unusual but very fun games, didn't they? I mean, there's this, then Wipeout, then Lemmings, then Walker, and so on, and so on... And I know that for some of these they were but a publisher, but even if, they still knew how to pick them. :)

Yass! Septerra Core got some well deserved love! For anyone embarking on the adventure it has to offer - don't be shy to peek in the manual from time to time and be sure to use cheats to balance out somewhat repetitive combat - that level 1 wolf will still want to take a bite out of your 80lvl character, but don't do more than that - game is otherwise is well written and rewards exploration and keen eye, and harder and boss battles need mastery of your tools.

Good games are good, and Septerra Core is most definitely one. :)

10:50 Actually, Revenant had one of the better plots for a heroic fantasy work, which clearly references Conan the Barbarian (Aquilonia is the country Conan becomes king of at the end of his adventures). I love the revelation about how Locke and Andria are involved in the fall of the ancient kingdom.

OOh Revenant. I played it a lot, and loved the conversations you can have (threatening a loudmouthed wmoan to rip out her tongue :D). Also seeing the different armors on your character was very cool, especially the Bone Armor.

Yep, what we take for granted now, different looks for different armors for instance, was not that common back then.

3:35 One of the few (if not only one) games that had the balls to base its world on mesopotamian mythology instead of the milionth medieval fantasy setting.

I was thinking that I didn't like Septera Core, and I couldn't really understand why. I have played nearly every Jrpg I could come across as a child, but I never got into that one. I was thinking though, I did at one point have an old P2 with no graphics card, being a kid and all, but maybe it was the performance of my machine that made the game bad? I may give it another try, but it was so long ago the last time I played it that I wonder if I even could nowadays. Also! The second part to that Draken Guard game, with the dragon and warrior lady, but the second is on the PlayStation 2, and it was fun... Not amazing, but better than good, if you can you should try it if you can, if you liked the first one.

I'm not an RTS fan, but I played Age of Empires 2 obsessively. Mostly the random maps. I like that there are multiple ways to win, not just conquering and destroying all the enemies, but by forming alliances and trading, gathering holy relics or building a wonder. I think some game magazine had both Star Wars games here. I never got far in Phantom Menace, there were some enemies with shields right at the beginning that I couldn't defeat. Did Toca 2 have multiplayer? I've missed it if you mentioned it... Because that's when that car customisation would be really cool. :D
@OldAndNewVideoGames
@OldAndNewVideoGames Ай бұрын
Yep it did, and not only online but split-screen too. I've never played it in multiplayer, but the customisation would be best then indeed. :)

@@OldAndNewVideoGames Nice, thank you! Definitely, one can have a cheeky taunt written on the back of the car, you know, since that's the only side of it your opponents will ever get to see. ;) I forgot to say, the RPG where you can pause the real time fighting for some tactical adjustments sounds pretty interesting too.

@@TeaAndFloppyDisks On the flip side, imagine having something super cool or extremely cringe written there, and then being the last, having no one ever see it. That would suck. xD

AoE2, one of the few late 90's games that have never "died". The Definite edition has twice as many active players as AoE4... and recieves way more support than the fourth game too xD
