Cameron is kinda a hero. In the finale, he tried saving the other contestants from the mutant animals while Lightning only wanted to focus on winning. Not saying he should be here, but he fits the theme.

Man, i remamber when i used to wake up early before school to check who was eliminated this season on the Total Drama Website. I was rooting for Courtney until she got kicked her off and i was like "Gwen is still here? Is she going to be the first double winner in TD?" Unfortantly i was very dissapontied with the finale they choose. My dream Total Drama All-Stars, would have been after 2 more seasons with the Revenge Cast after Revenge of the Island (and they could have mixed Gen 2 and the more interesting players from Gen 3) and then we would have All-Stars with more episodes and players from S1 like Leshwanna, Harold, Owen Bridgette, Trent (i know some of them aren't all stars but they were popular in universe and could have wrapped up some storylines left unfished). P.S- The disrepect that Mike won the season while he literally did NOTHING in the competition is beyond me

Hot take: I don’t care for Zoey’s friendships with Duncan or Gwen either I’d prefer to see her befriend much nicer characters that really need it than Duncan, and I’d also wait a lot longer for her to really interact with Gwen; Zoey should’ve befriended girls who haven’t already had enough screentime

Scott creating a new and improved strategy after analyzing past Total Drama episodes. Scott's suggestion that the Villainous Vultures should throw the challenge to get rid of Lightning as well as his switch of plans from sabotaging his own team from last season to sabotaging the opposing team in this episode seems to come from one of the season's original concepts, which would have involved Scott adapting to a new ruthless strategy after watching all previous Total Drama episodes during the interim between Revenge and All-Stars, but Scott being the main antagonist again was shelved in favor of Mal and him being simply more strategic than before was shelved in favor of making him the Iron Butt Monkey comic relief character with a romantic subplot with Courtney. Scott was originally planned to reprise his role as main antagonist in Total Drama All-Stars by watching all Total Drama episodes since "Not So Happy Campers Part 1" to "Brain vs. Brawn: The Ultimate Showdown" after Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, which would have resulted on him developing a new, merciless strategy in the fifth season. However, this concept was scrapped and Scott's role as main villain would be taken over by Mal. And also make think was mal in orginal concept Also in frist epsidoe Scott mentions he thought the robot could talk. I think was ment to call back for orginal was him watch all total drama season. He mentioned that he know about the robot. Because being Russell hantz the cartoon only work once ( for records scott is sort based on Russell hantz from survivor thing the team killing and find immunity idol. I think russell was more the latter one.)

Hey good video as always. Anyways I agree with mostly everything you said here. This cast sucked, the rivalry between Jo and Lightning couldve meant something, Duncan and Gwen are flanderized beyond repair. Mal's an anime villain, and Zoey's the worst girlfriend ever. But I get why it ended up so rushed with the time constraints. I just wish it wasnt

Scott was alright in this season, yes. But when I heard the original plan for Scott, that being for him to have gone through and watched all the previous Total Drama seasons and use the knowledge he gained to his advantage. That would've been awesome for Scott, but they didn't do it and I'm very disappointed. Just like how I'm disappointed for the rest of the season.

I'm not sure if it's actually true now that you ask though. I forget which video it was though. It's like that theory on Lindsay's actor having a family emergency and leaving Total Drama action early, might be true, might not be.

The season should have been 18 people in this season ( 9 in each team). I think it should have been the canon people in from Revenge in All Stars, minus Sam ( so 6 people from Revenge). the 12 form of cast should be the 7 canon people+owen (and the rest of team victory. so Bridgette, Leshawna, Harold and DJ) and for me personally, I didn't see any problem with the heroes vs villains theme. since that led to the revenge and the of cast interacting. like I don't get the idea that people have that they should have done "ogs in one team and the revenge cast on the other" cuz that doesn't give any new character dynamics so with this new cast in my opinion the teams would have been heroes: zoey, mike, cammeron, owen, lindsey, Leshawna, Dj, Harold and sierre villain: Lightning, Joe, Scott, Alejandro, Heather, Duncan, Gwen, Courtney, Bridgette Reasons why On heroes, I don't really have to explain myself, its quite obvious why there are in that team Courtney is on villains since she was the "main antagonist in TDA The reason why put Duncan, Courtney and Gwen on the same team is because I think chris thinks this would create more drama. But also it depends on whos side you are on because "technically" neither gwen or Courtney is 100% correct in their version of their story of what happened I also added Bridgete on the villains since she also cheated on geoff with Alejandro. So technically all "cheaters" are on the villains. but later in this season mike/mal and Bridgette will switch teams. because one person is acting more like a hero and the other more like a villain.

I know I’m 2 months late, but this video is excellent. I remember watching TDAS back in December 2020, knowing it wasn’t gonna be good, but even I was surprised how bad it was. I think season 5 should’ve been a second season for the Revenge cast, maybe taking place in the movie set, like an Action 2 or something. Then done all stars (or just a plain ass season that just happened to combine both casts). If they did that, things would probably be better, at least a little bit.

I think the cast we got wasn't the original idea and was last change. the trailer shows 25 of 38 constants in all of total drama history and 14 of 25 were shown more than 3 times and they were Courtney, heather, lindsay, siera, duncan, alejandro, sam, jo, lightning, Scott and 5 people that were supposed be there noah, owen, cody, anne marie and brick and they changed the plot to go with the mal plot and the triangle relationship fixed plot and i think the original cast was great but is missing leshanna and am changing sam with her to have equal gendering

disagree with Cameron and Zoey not being on the heroes team, heck the examples you listed all fit in with this category, especially Cameron, dude tried helping his cast mates away from mutein creatures, gosh been 10 years of AS and even today people continue to be talked in a more negative way, some points valued while some just felt like fans have bones to pick with writers especially one who wrote SMS, and because of that the like to pinpoint that AS was the failure, and like to use it as an example of fans not being exited for the new season because of this but I like to think of AS as they made a mistake and they are aware of it but they can improve on it.

I feel like what what would have made Mal work as a villain is that if he were a direct result from Mike's childhood trauma and the reset button is what I would say is the most offensive protrayal of multiple personality disorder. And with that conclusion it gives me hope that the td franchise could get better as this new soft reboot is the bridge that reunited the fandom and the studio after years of grudgefulness

I think you are taking the term "hero" a bit too literally and out of the context of the show. "Heroes" in reality TV and specially on Survivor aren't self-sacrificing heroes saving other people, they are players who are likeable, beloved by the fans, that make the audience root and cheer, that play the game with honesty, integrity, morals and ethics and who are inspiring, in some cases underdogs who accomplish a lot and surpass many odds and expectations. TD is a reality TV parody, so the heroes aren't going to be characters facing danger to save others and sacrifice themselves because these are not the stakes of the show. The heroes are the ones who go about the competition with kindness, respect to others and integrity, who don't lie, cheat, backstabb or sabotage in order to advance, who serve as opposition to the main antagonists and who are genuinely good people. Cameron, Zoey and Mike are pretty much the heroes of their season. Whether you like them or not, they are clearly the characters whose journeys we are supposed to follow throughout the competition, hence the heroes of the story. They are the underdogs who accomplish their goals and face the the villain of the season in Scott, trying to stop him and taking him down and strategizing to get him out. And Cameron, the ultimate winner, is also the one to defeat his bullies, the season's two secondary villains, Lightning and Jo, and serves as an opposition to Jo from the very beginning. They fit the heroes theme to a T. I think that even for your definition they would apply considering ROFTI might be one of the most manichaeist seasons and the one that feels most like a battle between good and bad guys, at least up untill that point. Also, if you replace them with Brick or Dawn, it won't feel much like All Stars.

Like i Said in same the whole all star concept is based on a survivor season. Heros vs villian is sort based on other season. That is just let pick all good people on survivor and all bad people. here's how i feel overall. it just felt so... sudden. Duncan had never shown any interest in gwen romantically but then all of a sudden without any development he goes and kisses and wants to date gwen? i'm not even thinking of courtney at this point, duncan and gwen are two separate people and their relationship was built completely off of Courtney which is not good. Like if u were gonna ruin and break apart gwent and duncney for gwuncan (just because of their similarities like come on seriously cartoon network) then at least give duncan and gwen decent writing and development.
