2011 was a shit year for me, spent a lot of it in and out of hospital, built a PC just for this game, and thankfully i was on the mend when it got released. Spent thousands of hours on the game, was top 3 in the world in the sprut at one point, did love the AK maps, bander was my fav. Its a shame that dlc is hardly played, so i have to make do with firestorm, kharg, or caspian for some tank play.

BF4 was ok, but it started to lose its feel, ive been playing both again recently, still find myself going back to BF3. Had great fun in the 2042 beta, different feel yes, but i went into the game just wanting to have a laugh, some fun.

The harsh shadows, the high contrast, the blue filter, the lens and camera effects, all contribute to a feeling only battlefield 3 has. It's incredibly stylish. Battlefield 4 on the other hand is all orange and brown, which I prefer less. Even though dated this game still has graphics that suck you in regardless. I always had higher immersion in this game than in any other. The whole feeling this game gives off is insanely good, no other battlefield actually achieved this. You can see a literal millisecond or a few frames of this game and instantly recognize it, without thought. And that's only the aesthetic, the whole game is a masterpiece. I was hyped beyond reason that 2042 will be a new battlefield 3 successor, ah how disappointed I am.

The beta of 2042 certainly looks sterile and has such a different polished/smooth look compared to BF3 and 4. The grittiness and textures/saturation effects of 3 and 4 made the game so immersive. Things also look ‘smaller’ and unnatural from certain views like 3rd person heli view- just looks fake or something.

Always love it when BF3 gets a plug. By far and away my favorite Battlefield experience. The weapons had perfect weight, the bullet velocity was great, and the movement was superb. These days, I’m playing BF1, and I have to admit it’s quite difficult to go back and play at a 10hz refresh rate. I was hoping for a remaster of BF3, but Portal it seems will have to suffice if I do buy 2042. Thanks for uploading!

I remember Big Mooney. Man was crazy. I still say "aah mah leg" when I get shot but survive in a match. I was on his top plays show a few times. I think he was a victim of his own creation. He tried branching out and playing single player games with commentary, but not many people watched. They went to his channel for Battlefield clips. He would have done well to start another channel and put his gameplay on there. You do fill the void Mooney left, thought. I am grateful for that. For me it’s not the bugs or glitches that will stop me from buying the game. It’s the game itself. The game feels weird and absolutely not like battlefield. The shooting and gun play feels way off. The whole time I was playing the beta I was squinting so hard to find an enemy. It’s not even the visibility issue. That will eventually get fixed. Everything just felt far away. Felt like I was actually playing warzone. I hate cod. It felt cheap and dumbed down. Graphics are good but that’s about it. It’s hilarious because there was 128 players but felt no different then 64 in one match. The maps are so big that the increase in player count is obsolete. All pointless. Should have kept the maps the same size. Then the 128 player count would be noticeable and maybe make the game for fun. That’s just me though. Back to battlefield 3 I go :).

MW2 is probably the most unbalanced FPS in history and BF3 has a horrible net code, very unbalanced gameplay aspects and bad mechanics, yet people still love those things. Kinda the same thing how everyone (old enough) remember the first mobile phones available for everyone, Nokia 3310 etc. Total shit in todays world, but they started what we know today.
