Hey Mike, Great tips for beginners like me who are just starting out on fiverr. One question, I agree that ranking on first page is very helpful in order to getting orders but do you think that beginer can also rank on top page with carefully crafting keywords in title, description and tags without having any order or review? For your case, were you on the top page from the very beginning. For instance I am ranking on first page with few keywords i have crafted but those keywords are not much popular in search. Should i prioritize first page position over more searched keywords or it's a balance we need to strike between good keywords and good page ranking when.we are starting out ?

Honestly, I can’t really give you an exact timeline. Typically I’ll let a change sit for at least a month, and in that time I’ll monitor the stats to see how it’s performing. Then I’ll just decide when I’ve waited long enough and either tweak it or leave it be.

So I think it’s probably fair to say that every time you change a gig it takes fiverrs algorithm a few days to re-index your gig. However I don’t believe fiverr actually manually reviews every gig before allowing it to appear in search.

I would be patient, and wait it out. Fiverr views/impressions fluctuate, having a 1 month drop isn’t the end of the world, I’ve had many months where my impressions dip by up to 50%. It’s the nature of being found in search.

Do you see major fluctuations in your gig performance when it comes too impressions? Im asking because my gig was climbing in impressions and at a high it hit 851 impressions in a day that was three days ago, yesterday my gig hit a low of 223 impressions and I have no clue what I have done wrong, ive been told that it can fluctuate a lot is this true? Hi Piotr, yes in my experience major fluctuations (short term) have been pretty common for me. To give you an example on my main gig I had 700 impressions a few days ago, but in March I had days with over 1400, and in other months days over 2000 impressions. I try to look at impressions via the 6 month view in fiverr analytics, as long as they are staying relatively consistent or growing over time I don’t really worry about day to day fluctuations

There are sellers on first page with 1k+ reviews and the studios. I rarely find a gig with less than 1k+ reviews on first page. I dont know how to compete that. All the sellers use different keywords and description style. does this method works or this is just a way for you to earn some extra bucks?

@@MikeNardiTV It could be good and enough for me if I had 100k of impressions :D But it 5k of impressions, 90 clicks, and 4 orders (new gig) (2 of them- not new customers), so we could say it's 2 real orders It's stats for the last 30 days. Btw- yesterday, after my comment- I've got 1 more order on that gig :D now it's 3 real and 5 total on that gig orders

So, that's an interesting question. I can't 100% confirm, as I don't work for Fiverr, however I've been operating under the impression that modifying gig title, description, or tags will affect ranking as that's where fiverr pulls keywords/terms from for the search algorithm. While on the other hand, I feel like gig image doesn't really affect ranking other than in the way that it might cause buyers to click your gig more which might passively affect how the gig ranks.

@@MikeNardiTV I think fiverr algorithm works the same as Google search engine with the number of clicks, when you edit your gig, your number of clicks returns to zero on the side of fiverr bot. Thank you Nardi.

@@oqba Maybe, I've edited my gigs a number of times while tweaking them, I've only ever seen a drop off in views for a few hours before fiverr does its thing and re-crawls the gig.

It's kind of cofussing you know? I've seen competitor gigs with poor SEO and even ZERO reviews. Even so they are in the first position of ranking results, always there in first page even if they don't have one single sale. In the other hand, there are several sellers in the last pages dispite they have more than 10 reviews and many sales. Good seller in the last positions of search results. How do you explain that?

When you modify your gig it can take some time for it to appear in fiverr search again, and sometimes the stats will show nothing for a few days. That’s what I’ve found and also other people have mentioned that happening on this channel

It sounds like this is also useful for successful gigs (although perhaps at a lower rate), because you don't want to be left behind if the keywords people use to look for gigs change.

I don't mean to advocate people should tweak gigs for the sake of tweaking, only that even successful gigs could benefit from periodically checking the landscape to see *if* there may be something worth adding in.

If everything is perfect on your gig then you would be getting orders. You should compare it to other gigs and try to put yourself in your clients shoes, try to identify why they aren't buying and work on that.
