It is a choice initially yes. No one is forced to make a deposit. It then becomes a mental illness, if the person lets it get to that stage. If they are able to stop before that, the problem won’t grow. So, you are wrong when you say it’s not a choice. Everything we do is a choice. But there is a point where the mind can lose control.
