Yes they are. They are all adjectives. You do realise that っている and ない and some other conjugates of verbs can be treated as adjectives, right?
@reruarikushiteru
@reruarikushiteru 5 жыл бұрын
@@coolcool9634 It's obvious that they can. Most parts of speech in most language can be treated as adjectives under specific circumstances but that doesn't make them adjectives. Those are still nouns and verbs, and showing them without any clarification from which part of speech they came from will only cause in people using them wrong. (I won't even mention not telling which adjectives are i-adj. and which are na-adj.)

@CrisBochJapan "Cloudy" is an adjective, right? "曇り(kumori)" is not a adjective but a noun and "曇った(kumotta)" is an adjective That's why to translate "cloudy" into "曇った(kumotta)" is correct and "曇り(kumori)" is clearly wrong I guess you are confused because the normal form of the adjective "曇った(kumotta)" is same as the past form "曇った(kumotta)" of the verb "曇る(kumoru)" Remember that words ends in "た(ta)" is not necessarily past formed verbs

@CrisBochJapan I wonder why you told me you always hear a word "曇り(kumori)" in your everyday life... So what? Did you read my comment? I didn't say a word "曇り(kumori)" doesn't exist. I said "曇り(kumori)" is wrong as TRANSLATING OF "CLOUDY". "曇り(kumori)" is a NOUN, but "cloudy" is an ADJECTIVE. "曇り(kumori)" can be translated as "CLOUD" in English because "CLOUD" is a NOUN. Okay?

What exactly is the purpose of this video? It is not usable for learning new words, since many of them lack context. It is pretty relevant to already know the words to use them correctly due to multiple meanings of the english word. For instance "single" is only given as "独身の" where the english can as well mean "一つの" , but taking only the video it is easily misunderstood. So what exactly is the purpose or rather the target group of this video? I am confused.
