@zombiedemon1762 The Love Boat is basically a comedy romance show from the 70s, mainly featuring a revolving cast of guest stars. The quote comes from the Augmented Reality Game (basically a semi interactive internet story) Gilbert Garfield, in a clip on KZbin where the titular Gilbert is reflecting on his cursed omniscient (it's a long story) and he sums it up by saying that with all of eternity, he spent his time watching the love boat in a TV in outerspace, but every time he watches it, the last 2 minutes suddenly cut off. Despite being able to see the past and future, including seeing the rise and fall of countless civilizations and species, as well as the heat death of the universe, he is somehow unable to ever see the ending of any episode of the love boat. Your original comment pointing out Dave's ability to create impossible machines but inability to simply cook some noodles reminded me of that quote. It's like being able to warp reality at will, but unable to fully understand how a square peg goes into a square hole.

I won _my_ science fair.... did I doom us all? (My project was novel electricity generation. So I made a phone charging booth powered by chicken nuggets. Had my neighbor's kids getting free happy meals, and pedaling stationary bike generators. It wasn't a science victory. It was a psychology victory. Everyone was doing mold and volcanoes and plants. And my teacher was a smartass. I couldn't lose. Zero effort. Less than 10 bucks for the happy meals. Sometimes, its smarter to be unscientifical. Man. These edibles were good.
