His skillset is not that much better than those of an average costume maker, makeup artist and CGI animator. What makes his work so great is the amount of time put into it. He puts weeks, months into one little animation. At his pace a company would probably have a full episode in 5 years + and a full movie in like 30 years.

It’s objectively impressive work, but it has that vibe of “anime live action” that makes every anime live action cringe and borderline unwatchable. The Netflix adaptation did such a great job avoiding that feeling by finding it’s own lane that had the spirit of One Piece without trying to be 1:1 with the source material like most live actions. Anime just doesn’t translate to real life which is why anime is such a great medium. You can do things through animation that just look uncanny, cringe, and just flat out wrong with real people and SFX.

What is this magnificent work of art that I have just beheld? This cannot be real, this is too sublime. How can this be feasible? How is this gratis and how am I witnessing it with my own eyes? I cannot comprehend how such excellent things like this receive the least attention. This is a masterpiece and a literary gem. Nothing will ever surpass this. You may label me as a sycophant, but I am indifferent. You see, this is just too splendid. If you had observed it with an open heart like I did, you would understand. This is the paramount piece of fiction that has ever transpired in human history. This cannot and will never be replicated. Therefore, let us cherish the fact that this piece of fiction was created and let us congregate and give a standing ovation for the man here. He is truly as remarkable as people claimed when I first learned of him.

You have so much talent, the only thing that maybe we can call "problem" for you not to work in a huge studio is the software they are using, since blender is a great DIY but they use some specialized softwares. BUT, after being amazed with your work, i know you can do it. Your talent as a generalist is incredible, man. Keep it up the amazing work!!

Blender is a great tool, extremely powerful for learning 3D software. But most companies have their own internal engines. But the skills you learn in blender can be easily translated onto other 3D software.

They usually use maya. I in other hand support that more and more people should specialize in blender, specially for indie work. Blender is only going to improve and the more people learning blender to a high level the sooner we will see more amazing productions using mostly blender.
