The definition may be misinterpreted as implying that the accessible conductive parts bonded together themselves that are the OBJECTIVE of having the reduced voltage gradient rather than the accessible ADJACENT SURFACES of what the accessible conductive parts are embedded. Aside from Articles 547, 680, and 682, equipotential bonding (not necessarily “planes”) also show up in Article 517 implicitly [517.11 “ the maintenance of adequately low potential differences only between exposed conductive surfaces”; 517.14 “equipment grounding terminal buses of the normal and essential branch-circuit panelboards serving the same individual patient care vicinity shall be connected together with an insulated continuous copper conductor not smaller than 10 AWG”, “separate transfer switches on the essential electrical system, the equipment grounding terminal buses of those panelboards shall be connected together”; 527.19(B)(2) and (C)(2) “grounding terminal of each receptacle shall be connected to the reference grounding point by means of an insulated copper equipment grounding conductor”; 517.19(D) “connect the grounding terminal of all grounding-type receptacles to the patient equipment grounding point”] and even to a more arcane degree of implicitness in Haz Loc Sections 501.30(A), 502.30(A), 503.30(A), 504.60, 505.25, and 506.25. Not all equipotential bonding follows the topology of a two-dimensional plane for construction convenience.

There is an accepted PI to 555 to create one there, but I made a PC to reject it. I think the idea is good, but the first revision contains no technical requirements or details on how it is to be created.

This is probably really obvious, but are cows more sensitive to potential differences because they just are? Or because they are large with more resistance? Or because there is a big distance between the front and back hooves?
@RyanJacksonElectrical3 жыл бұрын
The distance between hooves certainly makes a big difference. Beyond that I really don't know, sorry.
