A lot of these influencers on here do these budgeting videos but then they sell things to us at such a high price… I need to stay disciplined and keep it at the basics so I can really save up for the things I really want.

Yeeessssss save save save. That’s the goal for 2025. It’s never a trap. I budget for the things I want. I never go into debt for what I want. We don’t budget to never spend. We do it in a smart way. Save for the things we want so you don’t spend money on things you aren’t saving for.

Then the money I leave over for savings I put into my savings challenges. Once I’ve finished a challenge I put it into my long term goal categories. Those are my emergency fund, Christmas, savings and what not
