this is a hyperpop classic at this point. so much energy, bop and fire packed into this thing. these super minimalistic beats hit as hard as they possibly can. i remember dylan saying in one of the older interviews that what he's all about is least amount of effort and means used for a maximum result and this album encapsulates that perfectly. Each song has only a bunch of stems, basically just 808, hats, one or two synth leads, some fx and vocals. but it goes SO - FUCKING- HARD

I feel like this EP could almost be an imperfect loop. The line “Got a dead man chilling in a costume” in ‘dog food’ is sung in the same way as “i’ve got 25 bands and a gecko” from, well, ‘25 bands and a geccco’. Although it seems like there’s some occasional lyrical recycling in a couple gecs songs anyway so I guess it makes sense?
