The great AL Davis. RIP AL.
@paysonfox88
@paysonfox88 4 жыл бұрын
There were only 2 Coaches that Al Davis stepped aside and didn't mess with too much. 1. John Madden -- for obvious reasons 2. Tom Flores -- 2 SB wins in 80' and 83' --- also the first minority coach in the NFL. Al Davis had many faults, but even he stayed mostly out of the way when he knew somebody competent was at the helm. AL Davis couldn't convince the other AFL owners to stay independent. He did not want the 1970 Merger, WHY??? Because the AFL was winning the battle of draft pics, TV ratings, and its popularity was on a rapid rise.

@@moomonster1234 it's not really safer. Cause the players are so much bigger, stronger and much faster. Yeah they don't pull the cheap shots and dirty hits and all that like what used to happen but doesn't make the hits that happen today any less painful. These guys today are ten times the athletes that most guys were in 70s,80s and 90s. 300# dudes running 4.6 type 40s. I mean Jesus I would not wanna be on the receiving end of that.
@sejoki1
@sejoki1 4 жыл бұрын
„His style of play“ has nothing to do with football. You can hit hard without going for the head. 99% of players are able to do that. It’s a choice. Hard, legal hits are about controlling yourself and channeling your strength, which takes a lot more skill than just aiming for the head. Burfict just doesn’t have that. He played football like going hunting with an RPG. „Look how many deer I shot, I‘m such a good hunter“ except you didn’t shoot them but blast them to pieces, the meat is burnt and what you’re doing has nothing to do with hunting.

Packer fan my whole life but as much as I love Aaron, Favre was just more fun to watch. Whenever he threw that ball up in there, it was a 50/50 chance it’s gonna be picked but when it it wasn’t, man, that was the best.

Ah yes, Joe Namath, the only qb to win the superbowl with shaved legs. Greatest player to grace the field.

Pat McAfee not being on this list is a tragedy also Al Davis at #2 no disrespect but that's too high to me.

You gotta understand how much of an impact Al Davis brought to the NFL. He was always known as the renegade of NFL especially his feud vs. Pete Rozelle.
